You can definitely get longer than 2 years out of a laptop, but I am just saying that the average is about 2 years. An i3 would do you that long for what you are using it for.

An i7 laptop would last you that long. The average lifespan of a laptop is 2 years, buying better stuff would lengthen that.

AMD has never been any good at mobile platforms. I have a Turion laptop, and it gets the job done, but just barely. Intel stuff also tends to run cooler and have a longer battery life. An i3 machine would probably do you just fine, but I would go for an i7 if you want something that will last a while.

Netflix is going to eventually go full streaming, so they are working on getting releases out there faster. They are also working on trying to get deals to have quick release TV shows Hulu style.

Netflix, Hulu, and the sites for all the networks are pretty much all you need now. I am considering dumping cable myself, I pay for a DVR that I never watch. Netflix also just introduced an Instant Only plan that is $8 a month, instead of the $10 it was for the Instant + 1 disk. Not to mention the quality online only content on places like Revision3.

It was better than the first episodes of both Top Gear UK and Top Gear Australia. I'll keep watching.

According to a Jalopnik article, it takes 3 episodes for the show to come into it's own. Jalopnik also has a bunch of Top Gear ads on it, so take that how you will, but its a solid start so far. Way better than the first episode of Top Gear UK, though.

Hey all, I recently replaced my 720p Plasma TV with a slightly smaller LCD Monitor with a much higher resolution. Unfortunately, the speakers in the monitor are crap, and I don't have any decent speakers anymore. I am looking for a decent set of either computers speakers or a cheap home theater setup. I am not looking to spend much. Let me know, thanks.

Just thought I would toss an update in here, since I haven't in a few weeks. I am waiting on fuel injectors before I continue on the project. Sure there is stuff I could be doing, but I've been giving myself a few weekends off because I was spending the majority of my freetime in the garage. I picked up some injector seals and a throttle body gasket, but thats the majority of the progress I've made the past couple weeks.
