  1. OpenOffice at this point is far superior to Office. Get it. Especially if you despise the bullshit steps Microsoft starting making you go trough in 07. /thread
  2. I would say a week to be safe.
  3. Yep. Its called the "MicroConsole", its a single chip, and gives you all the same function as the PC and Mac clients. They are also releasing an iPhone app, an iPad app, and they are thinking about an Android app. There is a video on YouTube of one of their guys at E3 playing Borderlands on the iPad.
  4. The controls lag just a tad, like I mentioned, but you learn to anticipate it. I think its my connection.
  5. But you see, thats the beauty of this service. If you have a crap PC, you can still play top of the line games, because all of the graphics are streamed to your house. For example, my laptop can barely run Counter-Strike Source at 30 fps, but using this service, I can play Crysis if I wanted to. One demo they gave some time ago was Crysis running on the iPhone.
  6. Ok, played through the first couple areas of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands. The controls are a little mushy, but you learn to anticipate them pretty quick. Who knows, it could just be my connection. The video is currently 720p only, but they are going to upgrade everything to 1080p once the service is up and running smoothly. I gotta say, its pretty awesome to be able to purchase a game and play it IMMEDIATELY, not have to wait for any downloading, and barely even any load time. Its also sweet that they support all sorts of different controllers, keyboard and mouse, xbox 360, their own proprietary one, and others as well. (Not sure about the PS3, didn't plug my Dual Shock 3 in). Its also really cool that you can, at any time instantly, spectate other people playing games. Right now on my other monitor, I am watching some dude play the beginning of Assassins Creed II.

  8. If you are in the early adopter program like me, you should have an email telling you your account has been activated, and a coupon for a free game. I think I am going to use mine on The Forgotten Sands, since I am a huge Price of Persia fan. I haven't played a game yet, but Ill tell ya, the menus are super responsive, just like being in the 360 dashboard or in the PS3 xmedia bar.
  9. Then let me try to swing at least one more fail out of this, that way I will just be a 1/3 failure. My main monitor is a 720p plasma screen, that I run at a much higher resolution, making text sometimes hard to read. I have text blown a bit to account for this, but web addresses are the same size.

  11. You seemed to miss the point of my post, let alone the thread.
  12. demonoid.com /thread.
  13. All of his videos on his VW swapped turbo diesel minivans are my favorite, so much ingenuity went into those, and he made the whole setup removable, and when his first one rusted out, he bought another and swapped it over in like a weekend.
  14. Dave Rock/Davidsfarm Probably one of the most educational YouTubers you will ever watch. His how-to videos are better than anything else out there. He is worth subscribing too, despite all the controversy surrounding him (pedophilia, killing a pig with a chainsaw without knocking it out first, a bunch of other stuff).

  16. I think this is a chance for E85 to explode in Cali. If it REALLY takes off there were so much race culture is (not to say that E85 hasn't been doing alright on its own), chances are we will get to see higher concentrations (E90-E100) more readily available.
  17. If they did, I would probably be the first in line. But I think realistically. Sure there are millions of people here in the states that want the iPhone, but there are bagillions more around the globe on GSM carriers where there is more money. The only chance of it happening is when everyone goes LTE, then I see it happening easily. Although if it takes that long, I will likely wait to see how AT&T's LTE network stacks up to Verizons. It will be interesting to see how this works out, as CDMA and GSM tower placements are different, usually, due to the differences in signal penetration, and they will likely be just updating technology on existing towers.
  18. For the last time, its an Arcade, don't waste your money.
  19. There is only 2 countries on earth that use CDMA widespread, the US and Canada. The rest of the world uses GSM. Wanna rethink that reply? Hell, Verizon's parent company doesn't use CDMA. Thank you, GTFO.
  20. Yep, I agree with Brian. This the 400 billionth CDMA iPhone rumor. I am all for it going to other carriers in the US, but I still just don't see Apple making one just for the USA. It would be a waste of money for them.
  21. She talks like an English version of Miley Cyrus. You know, that really unattractive smoker-like voice. She is good looking though.
