    Propoerty in FL..

Insurance is getting crazy expensive and if you are close to the flood plain limits (measured in height above sea level) you will have a heck of a time getting flood insurance.
  6. I don't know how big of a lot you want but 400 - 500k will get you into 4000+ sq ft easily. Schumacher has a really nice model on 23 right around the linnworth area. Actually they have 3, I built the Homestead but they have "the mac daddy" house right there too. Like I said I am quite pleased with the construction, the framing crew took zero short cuts, poured concrete walls are an extra foot high so I can play basket ball in the basement and all of the first floor living space is over a basement (no crawl spaces). check them out.
  7. I am in my Schumacher build every day, the subs are great to work with. Simple things like having a nail driven in every hole of a joist hanger tells you alot about their idea of quality. I also dig being able to tell the electrician that I want quad gang boxes in the garage because I need to plug in battery tenders etc... and he comes back with ideas for more lighting over the workbench etc... If you want to see the build progress go here http://scubaforlife.googlepages.com/thenewhouse I currently live in a dominion home that is for sale, I love the home and haven't really had any quality issues other than having to fix floor squeeks.
  8. You looking to build on your lot, or build in a sub div? Schumacher Homes, I am currently building with them and love the quality.
  9. PC 1 and PC 2 have to run an AD-HOC network in order to communicate with eachother (802.11 doesn't allow to PCs in infrastructure mode to communicate other than 802.11 control traffic). Then PC 2 can ICS with PC 1. You will probably have to setup IP addresses on the wireless sides of each PC that are in the same subnet. This probably will not work at OSU if you are there trying to do it, they run Aruba gear detecting AD-HOCs and are probably not allowing it. If you still have problems I am a wireless networking instructor for a wireless networking company so I may be able to help.
  10. Well, if I fly and end up with a hairball I will tell them to shave that shit.....
  11. BWCA --- oh, you want ohio camping.... sorry BWCA might be a bit too hardcore for ya.
  12. I am going to be in London for two weeks starting the last week of May. I figured I would go to Ireland the weekend in the middle, Aer Lingus has flights for $2 from LHR to DUB and $65 back. I booked it last night. Anyone ever fly Aer Lingus?
  13. I do everything with NFCU but I don't think he can get an account there.
  14. Switch to WAMU or HSBC online banking.

  18. SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS I have had them out 5 times to realign the dish because the wind blew it out of alignment. The first three times were within 30 days of original install. After that they wanted to charge me $70 to realign it again. I finally started paying for the "insurance" and now they cannot figure out how to book the repairman out. The turn around time has averaged 6 days to have them fix it. If you decide you want the new whatever gadget they have, your contract will extend by 24 months from that day without them telling you. Granted they have MPEG 4 compression and HD locals via satellite but they only have like 5 HD channels and dish has all of the old VOOM services. I would seriously consider Dish.

  20. The VPN IS SLOW comments crack me up. The through put of a VPN depends on what is doing the encryption on each end of the tunnel. Hardware encryptors are expensive but make the processing faster. If you are building a dedicated VPN tunnel you will probably want hardware on one end. The gear we sell is a bit expensive but it puts out 802.11 at your house and backhauls it over a VPN. Not sure how much money you want to spend.
  21. US Air might be a bit tougher because that queue backs up pretty badly and the TSA over on B don't really understand that when there are a bunch of flights they need to open more than one screening station. I never have a problem on US Air because I am preferred and B has a first class/medallion line.
  22. What airline? ( I fly constantly) If you are flying Delta it might be a bit close but if you walk into the airport with 1 hour to go you should be fine. If you get to the kiosks with 30 minutes or less you have to carry your check luggage (no liquids unless they are 3-1-1, no guns etc...)
  23. first of all, go buy "What all good dogs should know". Dogs will not, by instinct, pee or poop where they eat. If you feed him in the crate he shouldn't want to go to the bathroom in there. Next, patterns, they poop after they eat. They pee every hour or so, after they play and usually after they eat. So, watch him and take him out. When he goes you have to praise praise praise. there are many arguments for and many arguments against paper training in the house. I think that teaching the dog to go outside is better than teaching them to go inside no matter what.
  24. Look at this site, if you fit the bill and apply for something let me know. http://www.arubanetworks.com/company/careers.php The company is out of Silicon Valley but I live in Columbus and the company understands remote workers.
