ditto. or a newer used yukon/suburban. My dad has had luck the past 15 years with Suburbans. Granted he buys them new but regularly puts between 130-150k miles on them in five years, tows quite a bit (his cobra, harley, and boat) at different times, and I think the biggest problem he had with the 04 he just traded in was his drivers seat heater stopped working last year, at around 120k miles. No engine/tranny issues, 4wd is awesome, he does snow trips for winter skiing, hauls my sisters shit to college and back, etc. And it seats 7 because he gets the captain chairs in the back, but you could opt for the bench and fit eight. Oh and it tows 10,000lbs. I've been contemplating a durango recently for our next large vehicle, but i'm not looking to spend $15k either.

I'm not on the level of these guys but I just picked up my first gun this week, a ruger p95 locally for $290 new and I love it so far. Easy to break down, easy to shoot, cheap ammo, etc, and my primary reason was for home protection.

Well why are you going after him if the car isn't even in his name? I mean I'd be pissed at him as well, but short of a name (which you already have) you probably won't get much from him. Since you have/had the title and know the previous owners name/address, why don't you take the time to search that and try and locate him? If he is an honest person who really did sell the car, he probably wants it out of his name just as much as you want it in your name. It might be as simple as paypalling him $20 for his inconvenience and title fees for him to mail you the correct notarized title. Just trying to help, good luck with it though.
