  1. why do you have to bring $15k or $17k to close on a house if you have equity in it? I don't understand... sorry to hear though, are you sure you still want to sell it?
  2. Because and I quote him from another site...."my chasis is twisted, the rear end i have is **** and the **** rattles cause of the down in my exhause around 45mph. its not worth keeping. i ran the hell out of it. " that and apparently he has someone buying it for $7500....
  3. negative equity i'm assuming from this previous posts. but i dont get it either, he has posted before about him needing to bring $15k to closing just to sell the house, so $17k doesn't seem like that much more, $2000 difference, not hard to have happen I'd say, shit that doesn't even cover closing costs most times.
  4. scott, derek went 11.3x's w/ the eaton
  5. tyler i didnt miss the point about him having an SR22, but since I was never stupid enough to need one I have no clue what all it entails, mainly why he can't chose his insurer? I'm assuming you can just chose your insurance company and tell them of the SR22 and they make the adjustments to cost, no biggie. I was merely showing him an easy way to get quotes.
  6. And here are my results of the progressive quote thing online, took me less than a minute... Just for reference.... I have full coverage, $300CSL body injury/$300kCSL uninsured/$10k medical payments, and $100 deductibles for comp and collision, so definitely not the minimum, actually pretty high compared to most, but I prefer to have extra just in case. Your rates may vary, especially if you have lower coverage, which is normal I currently pay $386/6months on my GTP I got quoted these numbers... 2003 GT - $764 per 6 months 2003 Cobra - $1227 per 6 months 2003 Mach 1 - $873 per 6 months So you can see there isn't much of a difference between the GT and Mach1 on insurance, but the Cobra is $500/6moths more expensive, which is nearly $100 more per month. On the flipside, if for some stupid reason you wanted to put liability/minimum coverage only on these cars.... 2003 GT - $166 per 6 months 2003 Cobra - $187 per 6 months 2003 Mach 1 - $166 per 6 months Again, I don't recommend it, but this was mainly to show you how easy to use the Progressive online thing is, and like I said, it's been dead on for me the past 4 years.
  7. just curious, what insurance company are you getting quotes from? And have you ever done that progressive online quote thing? I have done it for many cars before I look at them, and then again for whatever car I do end up buying and it has been spot on every time. For motorcyles, cars and boats, what they quoted me in the little online thing has been my price, and once you do it on their website once, you don't have to enter in your info each time, just change the vehicle and the requote a different price. Definitely helpful in comparing insurance prices.
  8. haha, i couldn't stop laughing when he was trying to get off the floor, lol. how did no one in the store notice him for like 4 minutes just making all that noise, hahahaha
  9. i got a question....ignore me if its a dumb one.. but seeing as how popular jailbreaking the iphone is and stealing apps are seemingly very common, what are the chances that apple/gubment starts going after people similarly to downloading illegal music? i mean, i dont own apple anything so i'm not up to date on it, but its still pirating and theft, so what gives? or is this already being done?
  10. Good thing I'm heading south Friday....not ready for snow yet.

    My new ride...

Maybe, when? Steve, thanks for the info, I had no clue those were oem wheels, pretty cool. I'm definitely planning on heading to pick n pull when i get a minute, and I've been on clubgp, seems like a good group...except the search function kinda sucks. Any idea on how to disable the DRL's? Or make it so my fogs are on all the time too? lol.

    My new ride...

Thanks guys, its definitely a lot sweeter than the 98 civic 4 door, lol. Just2Sweet, that looks real nice. Mine's the black leather power seat, but not heated. I'm undecided about tint, yours looks nice with the dark wheels, so I think that's what will determine it. If I go chrome/polished wheels no tint, if I go gray/black then tint. Are those 17's or 18's? How much was the gauge/scanner? Did you have KR normally with those mods? That's another thing on the TO DO list, new headlights, mine are hazy and leak water, I'd love some black housing ones, we'll just have to see how much they run. Plus I need some minor oem stuff. Didn't get any key fobs w/ the car, my auto dimming rearview mirror is two different colors and reflects weird, and some of the buttons on the steering wheel are worn off, although they work fine still.
  13. yeah, rav4 = at least the one i looked at
  14. 1997 GTP, rolled 89k miles on my way home from buying it. Only mod is a fenderwell intake. I plan on ridding the car of KR if the scan shows any, which is probably will so I'll get a 3" downpipe, and then maybe finding some larger wheels. It does need some suspension bushings/shock mounts it sounds like, but overall ride nice and is a great cruiser. I'll be replacing these few things soon and I'm on the hunt for some 2005+ mustang wheels/tires, probably gonna go with 18's. Comments welcome, I'm glad to be back into a GTP. http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t124/BAM614_Cobra/DSCN2293.jpg http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t124/BAM614_Cobra/DSCN2294.jpg http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t124/BAM614_Cobra/DSCN2295.jpg http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t124/BAM614_Cobra/DSCN2296.jpg
  15. LOL, those things are dogs, I remember beating one from digs and rolls back in like 2002 with my 98 gti vr6. they are too damn heavy for their power.

you mentioned GTP parts, what you got?
  17. my dad has scrap hoppers at his work, i'm sure he wouldn't mind a few pieces missing, you want all gauges or what? just small sheets like 6"x6" or what? i can grab some if you want
  18. right on, well i liked derek's mach1 MUCH better than my 2000 gt, but I paid $4250 for my 2000 gt w/ 70k on it loaded, and he paid $18k for his 2004 mach1 w/ 35k on it. So you have to weigh that in there too, I didn't want a car payment, he had a large car payment. If I would have upgraded the suspension/braking it would've helped, as they felt a bit worn out with 70k on it, not as tight as his mach1, and his car was faster obviously, but I had a lot of money to spend to even touch his purchase price, another thing to think about. Personally I'd buy a cheap nice GT w/ decent miles, an on3performance turbo kit, full kmember setup up front, build the rear, and be happy with 420-450whp/tq on a stock motor until its time to upgrade, but depending on how you treat it it could last. GT - $5k or less if you look Turbo kit - $2500ish Kmember/extras - $500ish - used built rear - buy used - i paid $750 for a built rear with 4:10's/31splines/cobra diff or just swap a 4.6 in your car, your car is nice already, you can find an engine/trans for under $2k with decent miles....and the ideas go on...
  19. what's so bad about keeping your sixxer? Can't those motors be built and you turbo that? i mean you're at 250now, what's another 200 with more boost?
  20. I'll give you $20 tomorrow for the nicer of the two. LMK
  21. how bout you smoke me? maybe give me some motivation to mod it, because as i'm feeling right now about just driving the damn thing, lol.
