    FREE Mags...

Dude, are you sure you PMed the right person? I'm very good about checking/responding to my pm's, but I never received one from you, although I did send one to you myself. Sorry if there was a miscommunication, but I honestly never recieved a PM from you. PM me now, what time is good for you? I'm off, so I'm free all day.
  2. After far as I know, my dad's boat has a 350 in it. You might have to play around a few times with it, but after years of doing it, I can pretty much do it by memory and the person's size. aka my lightweight friends that weigh like 115 doesn't need nearly as much tq as my dad's 250lbs needs. I'd rip their arms off and make em do a front flip, lol.
  3. Seems like some good info in here already, but I'll chime in as well. Twirling your hand by the spotter/driver can also mean "hey we've gotta do a U-turn" or something similar. When backing a trailer up, steer from the BOTTOM of the steering wheel, big help. Bigger people = more speed to 'pop' them up on skis/wakeboard. Me/my dad require a WOT for about 5-10 seconds, and during that time we're pretty much under water, but pushing it out of our way, then we pop up and cruise just fine at 30ish. For wakeboarding it doesn't take much for someone to get up since its a bigger surface, but you still need extra power at the start. Commonly used words are "HIT IT" from the person in the water to let you know they are ready to go. Before taking off make sure you have the wheel straight and the rope is tight/no slack. When turning with people in tow, or in general the boat slows quite a lot depending on the degree of turn, so always add power when turning, esp if people are standing, they'll sink. have fun man, I've been boating for the last 18 years, awesome shit, check out lake cumberland one summer if you think about it, rent a houseboat with friends, I garuntee its the best damn time ever! Edit, almost forgot, you might want to just watch your RPM's as they are more accurate than your speedo. I know I tow my dad at 32-3400rpms, which I think is mid 30's, but like I said, I watch the rpm's esp when starting because they tell me where I'm at, and sometimes the speedo thing has to adjust, etc.

I just got these from another member and I'm passing on the good stuff. I've sorted through and kept what I want, but there was so many to begin with that there's plenty left for others! Bring a couple big boxes or we can just load them in your trunk. TONS of mags, trust me. PM me for contact info. Thanks Matt
  12. Sweet, thanks for all the info. What does a stock 5.0l put out? I think they are rated at 225/300 crank? My buddy is giving me all this shit about just putting a stock 5.0 in, he thinks I should do the lt1 or ls1 for more power stock, I'm like its a shitload more $$$. So does anyone know what a stock foxbody 5.0l ran/putout? My car should be a few hundred lbs lighter but the power output would be nice to know. Thanks

    x2....literally, so 200 pennies.
  14. Awesome info Hoblick, thanks a ton. I definitely want a forged motor from the get-go. 175shot is huge, doubt I'll go that big but maybe for the track. I want it carbureted, but if I find an EFI one is it hard to convert it? I'm thinking even those years lincoln/mercs are already fuel injected. I've thought about a fuel cell, but people say I can use the oe stuff, so I think I'll start with that and then think about upgrading from there. is u pull it on 104? Do they have engine hoists for use? What are the gt-40p heads? Are the factory on something or just an aftermarket set? I guess if I'm doing the heads I might as well do a cam while I'm in there, what do you guys recommend? The car will see full bolt-ons as well as a shot some of the time, probably only a 100-150shot, and maybe only at the track, depends on how the car feels. I ordered the kit today, and am starting on pulling the original drivetrain this weekend. wish me luck guys, hopefully I can have this all finished up by mid july or August.
  15. +1, that's what I'm in the process of, and it'll be a blast!
  16. I'm looking for the complete motor, preferably. I also need a T-5 transmission as well. I also need the bellhousing from a PRE 83 Nova, Chevelle, Corvette, or Camaro. I have a truck so I can pick up. Thanks Matt
  17. I'm not looking for insane power, just a fun car, I think with 300-350whp I'd be happy. If not, just use bigger jets. Any idea where I could find any of those things you mentioned?
  18. None really, I heard they were lighter/had forged pistons some years? What SBC would you recommend? Also, the swap kit is about $600 cheaper for the ford compared to the SBC. That difference alone could net me the motor/tranny.
  19. Sorry, I'm just going off the swaps website. This is going into an 83 RX7. I think I'm just going to stick with a 302 because they are more available, I was just wondering what the advantage was of the 351, like how much more power do they put out? Were the 87-91 fi or carb? I don't really know much about older v8's, sry. hmm, did that help clear any confusion?
  20. I'm looking for a 302 or 351, complete swap, and I need a trans as well. I would REALLY prefer it to be carbed rather than EFI. What transmissions (manual) do I need to look for? Are any years engines better (or worse) than others? I'm thinking like an old 5.0l fox body, like 86-90 would be the best? Where can I find this drivetrain for decent money locally? Or is there someplace online you recommend? I'm just looking to get information right now, and hopefully purchase within the month. I'm just planning some things out now and need some more info. Thanks, sorry for the noob questions.
  21. Where in dublin are you located? I'd be interseted in checking them out/test fitting one. I've got cash. Thanks Matt
  22. Looks sweet man, 17x11 aint no joke! Can you post a before pic for reference of the old wheels? Congrats on taking 1st place too.
