And both times I did go I left the rental and drove across the state to go to ANOTHER event. Sorry I cant make more of the rentals but I have a busy RACE schedule.
Matt, untill you get a job that allows you to go to the track more than twice a year you dont need to be talking smack. When would you actualy get a chance to race him?

I run straight water also. The car will be hot from warming it up and loading it. There is NO way you would have an issue on the drive down. You could always stop midway and warm it up again if you are super paraniod about it but really, it will be OK.

That 2.78 first gear in the 4l60 is what makes it hit so hard, not much will overcome that. A two step and transbrake will give you consistancy. The limiters will help a lot keeping the front end down, that will allow the wasted energy of the wheelie to propell you forward.
Are you going to the track event saturday.
There are a number of ways to tame that thing down. I can show you my travel limiters they cost less than $5, that is a cheap place to start.
if your leaving that hard off an idle I am guessing you have a really loose converter and a tall first gear.
