This is the cage that is in my car. I welded the pads in and Ron shearer tig welded the bars in. Ron is very resonable and I am sure he would install this for you. as far as certs go the inpection went very quickly with no issues. He even commented on what a great job Ron did on the welding.
Get the jig knotched option. We did have to trim a few of the bars to fit the way we wanted but it was no big deal.
Great Intro,,,,,
My heart sank when I saw the pictures.
Go into your garage and throw every can of spray paint away and never again as long as you live buy another.
I do like the shifter knob
In 89 I quit a job in Nevada at a gold mine. I was a pipefitter foreman.
There were two 500,000 gallon tanks right on the main road of the plant one of them had scaffolding on it from the painter that had just finished painting it. I took a large flat permanent marker and put the following rhyme on it.
Hickory dickory dock "Superintendants name" is as dumb as a rock
He is blind and he is simple and he wouldn’t make the pimple on a real superintendants ass.
The best part is they sent a friend to clean it off. He ground it off exactly where the marker was so after it was repainted you could still see it because of being ground in.
It was really funny because about two years later he was working for me on another job in Wyo and never mentioned it
That sounds great Wayne,
We know it's tough to regulate an event like this and are just VERY happy to have the ability to run at an event like this. I think that you can count on the people I know that were there to continue to help any way we can to make this grow. We are very lucky to have a track owner that will allow us to use the facility in this manner.
I thought the same thing, That dude was packing a high dollar big block.
(you know it is expensive if it's high dollar to me)
You need to put a bigger tire on it so you wont have trouble hooking up next time :bangbang:
The three step didnt engage. I floor the car to build boost on the first step footbraking (2900rpm) and foot brake into the lights under some boost with the turbo lit up. when the second bulb lights I hit the transbrake it goes to launch RPM and boost in under a second. It is the only way to build enough boost on a pro tree. I never had trouble before with it and it works fine now so I am not sure what happened. I will check the wiring during the week.
I believe he hurt his engine. he had NO vacumn and only 20 psi oil pressure. It made a loud pop during his burnout (what he told me) I hope it isnt to bad.
The first step of my two step didnt come on so when I floored the car to build boost on the foot brake it overpowered the brakes and drug me throught the beams.
We lined then back up later just to see how it would have come out but it appeared his engine took a shit during the burnout.
As Matt said the guy with the malibu had the generator on the car after every pass.
Mike and Wayne, I know you are trying to keep the rules simple. A simple rule would be NO generators, power cords and alternate sources of electricity are permited.
Thanks again it was a great program!
I heat cycle a new engine a couple times and get the tune fairly close then drive it like I stole it. I was on the dyno making a thousand horsepower with about an hour and a half on this engine.
Ya I was there slippin and a sliddin
Track was hookin for the 60' it was when I was trying to put the power in down track.
could only squeese a 9.50 out of it
