What shop is it at? that will say a lot on how shady they are.... Tripleskate is right. My guess is your insurance company has not approved that large of additional repairs yet and you will be getting a call on monday to avd you its totaled. that shop probably just called to let you know what THEY wrote.

thanks for the link. I was hoping to find a used one for about $1200. can't seem to find that in the 308. plenty of 223 though. and no on the make. My brother just got a dpms in the 223. but I may want to do some longer range shooting in the future so I think I want the 308.

if the other cars have full coverage they will have to use their own insurance. if not full coverage they will need to have uninsured motorist coverage. If just liability only, then its off to small claims court. sucks for everyone involved.
