what are they providing you to back up their offer? they have to get it from somewhere? if they are saying thats the market value they have to have proof of it....

well being in the same hobby as you I thought everyone knew you never get out anything you put in. I have a ton of money into my car and I would expect to get markey value for a stock car..... you are getting all those mods back for $193, seems like a good deal to me. I completly see where your coming, but modding a car does not add value. I hope the appraisal helps you.

was the engine new? all that other stuff is general maintance and is expected to be done to the car so it dosen't add value. have you shown them the nada value? thats a pretty big difference..... also, I am not sure the lady's ins will take a appraisor value. you may have to go through your ins company for that as its probably in your policy.

holy crap you haven't settled this yet? that sucks. what are they offering you? FYI, the ins comp will get their own appraiser as well and the two appraisers will have to come to a value. I would file with your ins comp and see what they offer you. it will not hurt your policy at all and they will be more willing to work with you than the other company as you pay their premium....

yeah that sucks. was she cited? was there a wit? about 90% of the accidents are disputed unless there is a witness or proof. hope your ok. you should be able to buy the car back for a good price. but like stated before, do some research find cars like yours for sale and get together a parts list with prices. it can only help. don't get an atty for your car, complete waste. just fight for what you want, but remember they only owe for market value. I know its worth more to you then to anyone else. as far as the injury. if its not serious, imo its not worth it to get a lawyer. they do take 30% of the settlement. and the insurance company isn't going to change their offer just for any atty. sometimes they lower it..... Like tim stated, some people get huge settlements and others don't. it all depends on the insurance company, the type of injury, and the adj handling it. let me know if you have any questions.
