Someone please bump this thread before it starts because I will end up forgetting about it!

You will spend 3x the amount of money and wind up having nothing going the path you have chosen. The idea of thinking you can throw 50 bucks weekly at it is a terrible one. Save your money and do it right the 1st time. Write down a game plan and research cost so you can plan on how much to save for. Its still far cheaper to buy something already done. Figure 50 cents on the dollar in a lot of cases. People are really trying to help you here and you are not listening. As they say though..........a fool and his money are easily parted.
-
Not trying to be rude, but in the grand scheme of things its wiser to save your money. There really has been some good deals on complete turn key cars. If you try to piece things together piece by piece as money comes available you will spend alot of cash that you did not have to

Actually its hard to judge an automatic car on a rear wheel dyno because of converter slip. Only way to get a rough estimate is to run it at the track and use the numbers there to back figure. look up wallace racing calculators and plug in your numbers

Used Auminum Reactor Flexplate for SBF c4. 157 tooth and It looks as if it will accept a glide bolt pattern. I picked this up used and upon installation it did not give me enough clearance with a c4. I asume it is .090 thicker and meant to be used with a midplate. 75 bucks http://i1113.photobucket.com/albums/k503/mrtbolt64/100_1159.jpg http://i1113.photobucket.com/albums/k503/mrtbolt64/100_1158.jpg

93 YZ250, picked up from a member here as a project bike and lost interest. Front forks were rebuilt, new brakes and bearings. New Plastic. Jug was fitted with cast sleeve and standard bore Weisco piston installed. New Clutch pack installed. New FMF pipe and silencer. There is new front and rear sprockets and new chain. Rear swing arm rebuild kit and shock rebuild kit. These parts were not installed. Bike runs but now needs carb cleaned from sitting and needs gasket for clutch case. I had over 1000 in just new parts. 850.00 http://i1113.photobucket.com/albums/k503/mrtbolt64/100_1166.jpg http://i1113.photobucket.com/albums/k503/mrtbolt64/100_1165.jpg http://i1113.photobucket.com/albums/k503/mrtbolt64/100_1155.jpg

Rascal unit is dublin. They revieve a lot of donations as already mentioned. Stores that have broken bags of food will donate it to them. They are pretty well stocked. If you should fall on hard times they will give you the food free to help out. Its a hell of a service. You can read more here http://www.rascalunit.org/RascalUnit/Home_Page.html

Its interesting to see some of the different things they are trying to come up with. Seems like trail's schedule is getting less events booked into it. Maybe a sign of the times.....who knows. I did notice in the schedule for june 17th weekend they are doing a John Holt index weekend. I wonder if this is something that mimics the unleashed event with index and heads up racing.

Hard to beat either of these two if going the gm route. Not exactly local but within two hours drive http://www.rosslertrans.com/TRANSMISSION%20SELECTION.htm http://www.abruzziracing.com/turbos.html

As much as I agree with you on hating on the SEC, I have to say Auburn will blow Oregon out of the water. Prediction 42 to 17. If you take away all the bias circling Cam Newton and just watch him play, the guy is a stud. Auburn would not be where they are at with out him and Terrell Pryor wishes he was Cam Newton. This game is a sad joke and shows the problem with the automatic bids by the BCS. Conn has no bussiness being here and a rule should be implimented that you alteast have to be ranked in the top 15 to aleast make it into one the BSC games. Oklahoma should walk threw this game and everyone knows it. Be very scared, this should be one of the best BCS games. Ryan Mallet should ring a bell as he was recruited by Loyd Carr and left once Dick Rod took over Michigan. Mallet is a quality passer and should find a home in the NFL one day. The key to this game is who makes less mistakes and if Terrells passing game decides to stay home this game we are screwed! I really feel sorry Michigan State having to face Alabama. Alabama, LSU, and Arkansas are very good teams. I do hope to see Wisconsin put 70 on TCU

Kind of funny that I see this pop up. I graduated from eastlands machine trades program in 93 and it got dumped in 95 I think. I have always wondered what they did with the equipment. As far as the other tech schools it would not surprise me if they dumped there programs as well. When they would have tours for enrollment back then I remember most kids did not want to run old machines and were scared of all the math involved. Sad, very sad. After being in this trade for 18 years if I could do it over again I would probably do something else. I am fortunate to have a really good job that pays very well and is with a great company but there is limitations. If you just want to learn as a hobbyist I can understand as it is neat to do your own work when you want to. Have you tried calling Columbus state? Do you have equipment now? Here is something I found quickly at OSU website when I typed machining into there search function http://nsmwww.eng.ohio-state.edu/Machining_2_Lab_Presentation.ppt#336,3,Introduction to milling

Too many budweisers mixed with Jalepeno cheeseburgers from white castle the night before can be very foul to coworkers as well

Do yourself a favor and stay away from the powerdyne. To my knowledge all powerdynes have a internal belt that is known to break. You would be better off to look for a Vortech, paxton novi, or procharger.

Probably the best move I made was switching to the glide. I know some will argue the t400 would of been a better choice but the car has been much easier to drive with making the launches much more predictable. Plus its been quicker with the glide than that of the C4 3 speed. Anyhow, thanks for the compliments
