  1. might be interested in the hammock, I can't view pictures from photobucket at work so I'll have to look tonight and let you know.
  2. don't buy out of state... if I can't drive an hour or less to see the car, I don't want it... not worth the hassle. as far as the winner of the auction, I have no way to get ahold of him and honestly, want to stay out of that mess.
  3. cool, I might take you up on that!
  4. 98 I'll probably get under there again and bleed them... I need to find the time to do it when my wife or someone else is home.... that stupid hand pump is a bitch to bleed brakes with.
  5. drip no, but it had a leak in one of the lines for a day... last night, I tried to get a new line but the only place I could get a line was napa so I had to wait for them to open...
  6. hmmmm I might try that in a few days, I still need to get it up to Derek's to loosen the lug nuts since they must have used an impact gun that was set too high.
  7. I just told him thanks but no thanks and I'll let the buyer find out for himself... the only bad part is the buyer lives in NC... I'd hate to see him take that drive for nothing.
  8. I didn't realize there was an order to bleeding the brakes so no I didn't.... when my wife got home, I bled them the old fashioned way and everything seems to be ok now... what is the correct order for bleeding?
  9. yes I think so... I took it today, looked it over and decided against it, that thing had more engine codes then I would know what to do with, surprising thing is, the service engine light wasn't lit up.... I wonder if they modified it so the light wouldn't come on....
  10. +1 this is the first place I would check...
  11. dude, the kits make it so easy, litterally plug and play
  12. so both of my rear calipers were siezed on my blazer, I replaced both of them but noticed a slight leak around where the line connects to the caliper... no big deal, I replace the line and copper rings... I use a hand pump to bleed the brakes and I THINK it's bleed good enough... now when the car's off, I can pump the brakes and it gets hard, I turn the car on, the pedal goes all the way to the floor and the brake light is on.... if I turn it off, I can pump it back up stiff... what's going on? did I not bleed the brakes good enough or is something else going on?
  13. my wife's car is pretty scratched up, but that's cause she just doesn't pay attention.... that's not what worries me. the thought of if he's willing to lie to the winner on ebay, he will do it to me makes me think I don't want this vehicle for that alone...
  14. go to pick and pull... see if you can yank one from there...
  15. are you saying it looks beat because of the scuff marks or have you looked at it?
  16. actually they are going up, but there's deals on them if you are willing to take your time and look... this is by far the best price we've found for the mileage...
  17. I have traded a few emails with the owner since the auction end and he seems more than willing to work with me.
  18. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180392471594&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3AWNA%3AUS%3A1123
  19. the only thing I would say is, that place seemed kind of like a "chop shop" like there are 2 guys working there that kind of gave me a bad feeling if that makes sense.... and the building beside theres probably had 15 chickens on their roof... so this being a reputable dealer, I kind of doubt it...
  20. so there's a car on ebay that we are very interested in... the first day that I see it, the sales guy (small hole in the wall place in Reynoldsburg called MAC auto sales) was very responsive on my calls.... We go look at it, make plans for me to stop by saturday morning and pick it up for a few hours to get it up on a rack... saturday comes... sales guy doesn't call me... so I call him... (I probably tried to call him on his cell probably 20 times on saturday) I even stopped by... no response and the guy isn't there... (apparently the other people who work there can't get people keys to test drive vehicles....) So saturday night, I email the owner stating I haven't heard from John and to please have him call me... still nothing. so the auction just ended, and it goes for 500 less than what they told me they wanted. I send the owner a snide email stating something about if you would have returned my calls you would have made an extra 500 dollars. the owner promptly calls me back, telling me that John has been having personal issues and he has recieved other complaints about John not calling people back and that John told him that I wasn't interested in the car anymore. The owner told me if I wanted to take it tomorrow to put it on a rack even if I needed it all day that was fine and he would make up some sort of excuse to the winning bidder and sell the car to me for the winning price) so my question is, would you believe the owner and go back to the table and try to work out a deal or say to hell with them and move on?
  21. How's she doing? I hope she is doing well!

    carfax?

that's what we want... now to just find the right one.
  23. wow, despite what everyone else has to say, enjoy the journey! Marriage is hard... it's probably the hardest thing I've ever done... but with difficulties comes great reward! Not to sound gay, but it's an amazing thing having a woman look at you like you're the most important person in the world is irreplaceable and worth every moment... besides, if she gets bitchy PITB... you're married... nothing is offlimits
