  1. I don’t disagree with you, but how is this different than automation in any industry? There are tons of jobs lost to automation in manufacturing - what do you think can be done?
  2. I am thankful for whatever is put together. I liked giving a local business my money and a place to warm up was nice but I can work with what we had.
  3. Absolutely the mag suspension is a requirement - it was added in 2015. The variable exhaust was added in 2016.
  4. Gen 2 V is top of the list. I think it will be an SS or CTSV
  5. I don’t know my HD Chevy pickups but isn’t that the LQ4? If so, the intake is dry from what I recall.
  6. I have and love them BUT I would have to find one with the rod bearings already done or set aside 2500 for that and then another 2000 for the throttle actuators.
  7. Good stuff guys. Have some thinking to do. The plan is to get a C7 GS in about 2 years (daughter will graduate college). I should have a pole barn by then. Given that, I may do a nicer pickup now as a DD and get the Vette as a toy. The reason I am torn is that I was most content with my 05 CTSV. It was nice enough to drive to C and C but not so nice I didn’t want to drive it. I drove it everywhere in every type of weather. That would say option 1. I do know that whatever I get as a DD needs to be nice and unique in some way. I won’t be content with a normal stripper pickup (though the Silverado posted above is pretty good looking). I also take coworkers and clients to lunch from time to time so has to be pretty nice. I stopped in and looked at a new Colorado ZR2 and really liked it. Do I need an off-road setup? No but have you seen it? I worry the bed is too small but hate the looks of the long bed. Note I have a utility trailer for bigger items and the smaller pickup will fit in the garage. The thought of driving a CTSV again or an SS or a S4 makes me smile though.
  8. I just don’t have the room for it. I will build pole barn at some point.
  9. Lol I don’t need help there - I know exactly what I want.
  10. Problem is garage space. Suburban won’t fit. Camaro barely fits in 3rd bay. One bay is taken with quad and mower.
  11. I would love an AWD vehicle - I have about 4 miles to get to a main road so, if/when we get snow it would be handy. I also love the Avant...going to autotrader...
  12. I have a quad with a trailer and snow blade. It works wonderfully . It is how I currently get the trash to the curb.
  13. I love wagons. CTSV wagon is a dream car for me but they are price stupidly right now. That being said, I own 5 wooded acres with a 1 acre pond now and will need a pickup from time to time. Otherwise I would keep the Suburban. A good example is I have to take my trash to the road which is a quarter mile from my house.
  14. Lol. I love driving a manual, really do, but I could go either way on this one. Note: I will buy a C7 Corvette GS with a manual in the next few years (once I build a pole barn) as a toy.
  15. General runs to Lowe’s, hauling firewood, pulling a utility trailer with my quad or zero turn.
  16. I cannot see me ever owning a Tesla
  17. I will not mod whatever I buy to DD. I could DD the Camaro but it is just too modified for that.
  18. Old guy checking in - not going to kill myself to find a manual if I go SS or CTSv. For the way I drive these days an auto probably works best for me. That way I can drink my latte while putting bus lengths on other commuters that may or may not know we are racing. We are by the way.
  19. I will not mod whatever I buy. I will not mod whatever I buy. I will not mod whatever I buy. (Working on getting this through my tiny brain)
  20. Driving back and forth to work and taking coworkers to lunch in a Beater truck won’t work for me
