thanks pedro I figured out how to get to it I just need to pick the the igniter now.

OK I have verified it was the igniter that is bad. I have found the part and now I just need to figure out how to get it out I am looking for a repair manual that will show me how to pull the stove apart correctly to replace the igniter. I haven't had any luck myself findind anything. Didn't know if anyone who of a online resource . The oven model # is mgr5730bdw.

Hey have a Maytag gas stove that when its on for a while or over a certain temp it will cut out and not fire back up. You can smell gas as well. I think it is either the igniter is weak or the temp sensor. The oven is 8 years old. What I am looking for then is for someone that does repairs or a reference from someone here that can fix it for a reasonable price.
