  9. cars will rust off the motor... i've seen plenty in the 200k range.... its said after 125k rod bearings should be considered a maintenance item. (4-5 hr job)
  10. very fun cars, check for rust at the back wheel wells, check for valve train noise.. lifters need shimmed every 60k and it its not done they will still run, but noisy and down on power
  11. steve i put a 285bfg on a 8" and have mounted a 315 nitto on a 9" just depends on how much anti vw buldge you like.... to keep it tasteful, a 285 would probably be max.

  19. small update picked up some 15x10 weld ripoffs, they had brand new 295-50-15 indy 500 tires on them... while I dont plan on running them, it gave me some ideas for what would fit http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=542&pictureid=4265 picked up some used bbk 351 swap headers. meant for foxbodies, but supposedly fit the fc swaps just fine with no mods. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=542&pictureid=4263 lastly the guts of the motor... i'm sticking with the hyper pistons. i dont need spray and its not getting turboed, so hypers will do http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=542&pictureid=4264 going to pic up vic jr 205cc heads this weekend, brand new and almost half price.
  20. I know this is odd me asking for tire help.. but i'm wanting to see how the 15x4 weld/jegs/summit wheels fit on my car I wont be driving on them, just bolting up a cpl lugs thanks, Derek
  21. itd be worth your time and money to just drive down to columbus joint and clutch off 62&270s... stay away from driveline 1
