  1. I was going to take it up to work but my guys are busy so it's one of those that he can try and get to in between. and we are already out of parking spaces so they don't want it sitting up there for who knows how long.
  2. Steve-o it located at my parents place in Groveport closer to Rickenbacker. It has a round port inside and a rectangular port in the engine bay. Being a 92 it's not obd2 so that's made diagnosing a little more difficult.
  3. Is there a shop that is recommended to take her to?
  4. Nice!! As long as he got the hook up on it that's all that's matters!
  5. Damn I really need to be a sponsor on here! Congrats on the new 4Runner! They are pretty bad ass. Got my dad (W0lverin3 on here) a 2016 Pro in magnetic grey, literally last order Toyota accepted for the 2016 builds. Then immediatly when Toyota opened up the 2017 orders placed it and his was the first to arrive to our dealership. His was also cement. Then a month later traded it in on the Camaro. All of that and didn't lose a penny. You can't go wrong with a 4Runner!
  6. Timing belt tension feels good but I don't have a way to measure it or anything to compare it against. Vacuum leak is something we checked but it was really difficult to tell because idle was all over and tough to hold at one spot. I did replace the old rubber vacuum caps from where lines had been removed with the EGR delete. Some were in terrible shape and cracked. So I just bought a package and replaced them all. Fuel issue is something I have thought about but don't really know where to start or what to check. The ECU has been fixed. I forgot to mention that. I have three, one you can clearly see the caps leaked. The other looks good but when installed it won't start, and the other has been fixed and does start the car. I'll test the MAF. I thought it was fine since it ran like garbage when I have accidentally forgotten to plug it back it. The TPS has been set and within correct limits. I still have a feeling there is an issue there because one TPS acts one way and another acts a different.
  7. also EGR has been deleted and I believe it has the 12v fix for the fuel supply.
  8. Is there anyone on here who is versed in the 2JZGE? I have a 92 SC300 automatic that I am having difficulty figuring out what the underlying issue is. Problem: Will not hold an idle and/or no acceleration. I say "and/or" because the acceleration issue is intermittent and I'm not sure if its related or what it is related to. It will get up to speed but very slowly. Won't down shift to accelerate. The idle either seems to chase itself up and down. When the RPM is on the high end and you give it gas it seems to bog down. But after replacing the throttle position sensor and it holds at 3,000, way to high. I have also replaced the idle control valve. Things that I have done; new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil. Cleaned the MAF and throttle body. The timing belt was done about 1,500 miles ago at 130k. Timing appears to be right on. I am looking for either a) someone who can diagnose the problem and I will fix it or b) having someone fix it all together. Is there anyone that knows these or a shop that can help. Im not looking for free or handouts. I just want this car to be reliable! Thank you in advance.
  9. Safety is crucial to me now. A couple years back my wife was doing 50mph and t-boned a car that ran a stop sign. It was pretty nasty. Even though she was transported to the hospital she was released after a few hours. The other lady wasn't quite as lucky and was there for a week. We take everything for granted and could lose it all in the blink of an eye. Ever since that incident safety is my number one priority. You never know what is going to happen. The Tesla with a gigantic crumple zone in the front is key.
  10. I placed my order midday before launch and am a long time shareholder as well, so I may be biased but I look forward to the future of EVs and Tesla specifically. I think one of the key components to the success of the Model 3 is the access to Teslas supercharger network. It significantly reduces the "range anxiety" that one would experience owning an EV. My parents own a Volt and don't ever worry about range. They have driven to Denver and New York without concern. They did have to stop more often to fill up since its a smaller tank though. If they had a Bolt or any other pure electric vehicle, that trip would be incredibly long and trying to figure out where you can stop to charge for a while just wouldn't make it worth it. To me its not about being "green". I think the future of automobiles is electric. Whether its a hydrogen fuel cell or a battery pack, this is the next step. Now with Tesla and their delivery dates... yeah I'm not expecting mine until mid 2018 and thats if the stars align! Elon is not known for being on time. On the Q1 call he said that the Model X delay was due to a delay from a supplier. He has mentioned plenty of times that the X was way to complicated. The Model 3 is nothing near as complex. Has anyone else put down a deposit on one?
  11. Andy nailed it on the head as to what I was looking for. I also wanted to take the opportunity to make it easier for other members to find out who CR recommends for detailing. That's why I added the list to the first post and changed the title. I'll be reaching out here shortly with a couple people to have the truck done. She's taking it Florida here shortly so I need to do it after the trip.
  12. $200 can get you a good detail. But I am also looking for a step above. My Tundra is Black with a metallic flake. I want that deep glass look. I am looking to have correction plus something like 22PLE applied. I already know that a quality job is not going to be cheap. I've done some basic detail work and minor correction, but I would just rather pay to have someone do it and know it will turn out amazing.
  13. To begin, yes I used the search! Last time I PMd Andy he wasn't detailing, Ryans website says he's not taking any new clients. Who does CR recommend? I am looking to get the truck done for sure and probably the Camry too. A coworker buddy of mine is in desperate need of his Maxima. (so many swirls it doesn't have much shine) Looking for someone on Andy and Ryans level. Also experience in glass coats / sealers is a plus. EDIT Im combining the list in this post to help others Clifford Automotive - Kevin - 614.754.8182 Mark - 614.353.5237 CBC (Cars by Curtis)- Curtis - 614.962.7562 Good Guys Detailing - Addison - 614.738.5006 Arcane Auto Detailing - 614.284.7416

  15. Yeah I can understand that. It does make it hard to do other work or be involved in certain things.
  16. Oh and the company iPhone is nice too!
  17. Yeah hours are not the greatest but it is certainly better than sales on the floor. My gripe is that i hate working weekends. We have a schedule. 8:30-4:30 or 12:00-8:00 during the week. saturday is 8:30-4:00 or 11:00-7:00 and Sunday is 12:00-5:00. You end up working 2 Sundays and are off 3. Saturday off rotates between the 5 of us. You'll have Thursdays off during the week, unless it is your weekend off in which you'll work that thursday. Nice thing is you don't have to stay late or come in when your customer shows up unexpectedly. No split deals or anything like that. 48% of all the sales have been through our department and we move a lot of cars a month.
  18. Sales experience would be a huge plus but not necessary. Someone who is quick at learning. You will have to learn the Toyota Product and our CRM software. Also you have to be proficient at working a computer. I know that may sound silly, but our previous guy just couldn't grasp anything. It was very frustrating having to reteach all the time. Send me a resume to joshua.dotson@toyotawestohio.com
