  1. Most dramas are one-time only movies for that very reason. Most movies that you want to watch a bunch of times are action/fantasy movies (huge battles, big explosions, cool fight scenes, etc.) Fuck yeah he is. The scene in the movie theater...never saw it coming.
  2. Summary: Evan (Ashton Kutcher) portrays a character who, as a child, is afflicted with a condition who plagued his father as well. As a child, he has had blackouts (not passouts) and cannot recall anything that happened during those blackout periods. He begins keeping journals of everything he does in attempt to keep his memory active and it works. College rolls around and he and his roommate Thumper (the big fat guy from American History X and Mallrats) decide to go shoot some pool at a local bar/hangout and Evan brings a gorgeous chick back with him, who finds the journals under his bed and asks him to read her some. From here begins the quest. He realizes he's able to use the journals to travel back to his past and change certain things during his blackouts. This ultimately changes his past up to that point and his new life is completely different than the old one. However, something always seems to go wrong and he finds himself using this technique quite often to fix everything that went wrong. Pros: Quite freaky, especially the first 10-15 minutes of the movie - I found myself jumping quite a few times. The concept is the most original I've seen since Identity and the movie, while a complicated concept, is easy to follow. Lots of suspense and very good acting (coming from someone who doesn't care too much for Ashton). Cons: It has Ashton Kutcher in it. And if you're a very sensitive person, some of the scenes may trouble you a bit (depending how attached you are to your significant other or how you feel about kids, etc). You'll probably find yourself saying "Oh my god" a few times. Rating: 5 stars from me. This movie, getting past Ashton and over the fact that the few sensitive scenes are part of the movie, it's is just an AMAZING movie. One of the best I've seen since ROTK (shutup, Kenny ).
  3. My ebrake light would turn on under heavy braking or AFTER hard acceleration (letting off the gas) and my brake fluid was low.
  4. Many of these guys are wise. Read the posts again, nobody said there was no fluid involved. I assume you're referring to Eric saying "no ebrake fluid, it's a cable". He's not saying the problem is the cable, just that ebrake doesn't work off of fluid (it uses a cable). Maybe you should do some grammer homework.
  5. I have Thursday and Friday off. Let me know what works better for you.
  6. I have AdAware and use it relatively often. Could you be more specific when referring to "format"?
  7. Up until recently, my computer has run perfect. Even now, is runs good until I get a few things going (IE, Kazaa, a folder open, WMP playing songs). Usually, this should be no problem at all. However, I'll have this stuff open, then try to open a new window or something, and it'll either A) Not load the page or B) Load the page, but takes like 45 seconds or so. When one page messes up like this, it seems almost nothing will work. I'll try to open another folder, and it will either A) Open, but be totally blank besides the toolbar at the top, or B) Won't open at all. Same thing goes for links posted on here that I try to go to, etc. It's starting to get REALLY annoying. Any ideas. Computer is Athlon 2000 with Windows XP home, 256DDR Ram, Road Runner, etc. I'm just wondering if it's just like a spaz attack or if Road Runner is having problems or something. It usually works it self out like a few minutes later, but then it happens sometime later. Just pissing me off. Any ideas?
  8. I didn't know Vin Diesal was Asian.
  9. I just went and got the Google toolbar and it works AMAZINGLY!
  10. I use Ad-aware to get rid of spyware and such. I just uninstalled and reinstalled Free Surfer and went to www.popuptest.com and still get the pop-ups in their test.
  11. I have Free Surfer on strict mode and I'm still getting pop-ups. I mean, it's worked great in the past, but there has been a surge lately. Last night I left my cpu on for a few hours while playing PS2 and it kept accumulating pop-ups. Before I went to sleep around 4, there were like 40-somethin pop-ups. And just now surfing the site, I'm getting a decent amount. Could spyware be causing that? And even so, why can't Free Surfer stop it anyways?
  12. Shorty headers are easier to install than Longtubes, but don't provide as much power. Longtubes provide more power, but also require you to either cut the existing X/H pipe or purchase a new one to fit the LT's. I sure as hell couldn't do headers myself (I can do anything myself ), but there are quite a few you could get in touch with through this site to do the work for ya.
  13. So...this is what I've gotten so far... 1. 5W-20 would be fine. 2. Automatic Tranny Fluid MUST be used when tranny is changed. (I just looked this up in the owner's guide too) 3. The few other things that Brendon mentioned that should be done. Looks like some of my tax returns will go to this stuff. Thanks for the info, fellas.
  14. I'm nearing 12k miles. I'm getting my rear-end fluid changed at 13k due to the new gears that were put in at 8k miles. So tranny fluid would be a good thing to do?
  15. I wish I could tell one of those bastards from the other.
  16. 1. I've heard that only synthetic oil should be used on high performance vehicles like mine. So I whipped out the handy owner's guide and it recommends Motorcraft 5W-20 Super Premium Motor Oil. Is that synthetic? If not, what's the difference between the two? Why should it be used over this 5W-20 stuff. (Yeah, I'm ignorant ) 2. My buddy works at Valvoline and I told him I was thinking of doing whatever could be done to my car to "freshen" it up. I knew they did more than just oil changes, so I wanted to see what else they could do. He rattled off engine flush, radiator flush, engine cleanser, etc. About 7 or so different things that do to cars that need a little "prepping" or whatever you wanna call it. What is an engine flush? Engine clenser? Radiator flush? Shit like that. I'll understand if you don't feel like typing a bunch of shit, so links to info would suffice. graemlins/thumb.gif [ 23. 17. Well, now there's another small problem. I went to work today and stalled twice on the way there (unexpected stalls), then on the way home just about every damn time I pushed in the clutch and came to a stop, it wanted to stall. I'd fight it by tapping the gas to keep the rpms up. Also, I noticed that I was not making peak boost throughout the rpm range. In 3rd gear when floored, my car made peak boost until about 4500 rpms, then slowly dropped to roughly 7 by the time I hit 5500. When I got home, I unhooked the negative battery cable for about 15 minutes, hooked it back up and drove the car around. The good news is the stalling problem seems to be worked out. The bad news is the boost leak is still there. Could that be just another hose, or possibly something more major?
  18. Welp, problem is fixed. Hensler to the rescue. VERY minor problem, just the vacuum hose on the back of the blower (or engine, behind the block) popped out. James popped it back in and idle returned to normal. Fowler, since James hardly if ever reads the board, make sure you tell him thanks from me again. I really appreciate it.
  19. I went out in the garage to do a little more research. I found that when I turned on the car, then turned it off, when the car goes off a noticable suction noise occurs. Then, after the car had shut off, with the hood open, a quieter hissing noise can be heard best from under the hood (if looking at the engine from the front of the car, the hissing (as if air is leaking) is loudest in the front left of the engine compartment, like between the intake and engine block). A hose leak of some sort definitely sounds to be a possibility, but I couldn't really see anything suspicious. But then again like I said, I'm not very mechanically inclined.
  20. I have the video on my computer, just need someone to host it. Rob, if you want to come over and take a look, I'd really appreciate it. I sent ya a PM. EDIT: I TRIED to send you a PM, but your box is full! I'll be home all day, so give me a call at 614-837-8489. EDIT: See if the link to this video works. (Right click, save target as) video [ 22. 21. From the beginning... Went to see LOTR again with some buddies tonight at Easton. On my way home, I turned left at the light heading toward 270 S when a Civic comes flyin around the corner. I give it a little bit of gas in 2nd gear, but let him in front of me onto the onramp. He guns in on the onramp, I follow suit (though in 6th gear now). Probably doing about 80-90mph in 6th at the bottom of the ramp, I downshifted to 4th quickly in order to accelerate fast enough to blow right by him instead of the gradual pull in 6th. Well, when I downshifted to 4th, the engine made a strange noise as well as the transmission. Service engine soon and battery lights came on, car would go into every gear but wouldn't accelerate (similar to breaking a driveline part). I pulled off to the left side of the median by the wall and came to a stop. I turned off the car, called my parents (who were asleep) and got the answering machine. I started the car and it did infact start, and amazing accelerated in first gear. I went through all gears up to 6 fine with the exception of a faint, but quite noticable hissing noise coming from the engine. The fact that it went through and accelerated through all gears tells me it's not a transmission, rear-end, or any other driveline problem. When I got home, I got out the Digital Camcorder and recorded a short video of my car at idle in the garage, hood up. The hissing noise is QUITE loud and obviously should not be there. I'll try to upload the video sometime tomorrow, but I'll take any ideas ASAP. The belt on the supercharger seems to be intact and still connected, but there was some air pressure pushing out of the engine compartment. I'm trying to be as specific as possible to narrow down the possibilities, so thanks for any help. [ 22. December 2003, 09:04 PM: Message edited by: REPO-st Man ]
  22. Not in the tire size he posted. Winter tires for 255/55/16's do not exist on Tire Rack. Also, neither do Winter tires for my 275/45/17's. If you know of a place that does have them, please let me know. I agree that personal experience speaks better than some ratings on a website, but the ratings do come from customers who have had personal experiences. That's a good place to start with tires. He's got a Vette. Vette's suck in the snow regardless of tire. Anywho, to answer your original question, drifter (since you really didn't specify driving conditions for the car), there are a lot better tires out there.
  23. They suck so bad, you had to explain it THREE times! Well, I would like to know what tires you would recommend for snow. When there are no winter tires available for your vehicle and performance tires have an N/A rating for snow, it kinda leaves you with no choice but to go with all-seasons. Every other all-season tire on Tire Rack for his tire size has a worse snow rating than those tires, so even though they may suck, they're the best he can get. Snow sucks period and without AWD or AT LEAST FWD, pretty much any tires is gonna blow worse than Krystal Steal.
  24. What is CFM? I know it's like how much air the throttle body can flow, but what do the actually letters mean? I was looking at throttle bodies for the '03 Cobra and I found CFM numbers, some much higher than others and was just wondering what they meant and would it be better to have higher or lower CFM.
