  1. once a year? lol. i change mine every couple months and its dirty as fuck.
  2. your high energy costs arent all from electric heat, its because you have a large sq/ft house. mine is just under 1400 sq/ft and between gas and electric in the winter, its about $210. in the summer, electric is more and gas is less, but its usually only 30-40 bucks less i would venture to say your house is AT LEAST 2x the sq/ft of mine, so 400 isnt bad to heat a house that big. if it was gas, you'd probably be looking at $300 for that alone, plus electric...it all evens out. i would think that a house built in 04, they would have used a fairly efficient electric furnace
  3. yeah...the battery died when i was using it a little bit ago, but ive never had that happen afterwards. oh well. at least it wasnt something serious. lol
  4. nm...google led me to find that my computers clock was set to jan 1 2001 at 12:54 am...f'n wierd.

  8. so someone with an ATT iphone wont be able to switch over to VZW without getting a new phone, right?
  9. says mid 20's check, house value 95k (appraised 117k in '07 and i bought it for 78k march 09) which wouldnt be bad...when i check the family tab, it says i have a mother and a father (no way!) and that i live with them, or they live with me since i own the house... id like to have my house appraised again for shits and giggles to see what its worth...guy down the street is trying to sell a house exactly like mine (except i turned mine into a 2br with a large master, and his is still a 3) for 118,900...LOL!

  11. i know hes in miami. im just pointing out, he was still with the cavs in feb 2010, so there wasnt really a reason for him not to, unless he wanted to be a dick.
  12. sodium is not hard to cut down...check the labels on some of the stuff you eat...you'd be amazed...IIRC, a can of chunky soup, which i used to eat like it was a snack has like 2/3 of your daily reccomended sodium intake. 112/78 or so last time i got checked...ill have to stop at kroger sometime soon and check again.
  13. grouper is good...my little brother caught a ~14 lber when he was like 8 when we were on a charter. the charter we took had a restaraunt at the shore where they docked and the chef would cook up your catch for like $10 or so. it was great.
  14. good. you know how much it pisses me off when people try to act hard online...almost as much as when people have to type in slang. its horrible

  17. sorry to hear. im kinda in the same boat with you. on the 28th my grandpa had to have surgery to have a mass in his bladder removed. they think its cancer, but waiting for the results to come back. it sucks because a couple days afterwards, he couldnt piss or anything and had to go back to the ER. he's not my blood grandpa, but hes the only grandpa ive known since my paternal grandpa died when i was 10. scary shit for sure...ill keep your dad in mind
  18. Kinda what i thought too, but like at the start/end of shift, i wouldnt have been able to carry in the substation, if we had to go into a bar, i couldnt have followed in, etc. I understand your POV but i think they see it as already being somewhat of a risk having a ride along, do they really want to add to it?
  19. Im not so much worried about "failing" it, but any advantage i can get to score higher than he other 199 people taking the test will be great. If they only take the top 25 or whatever it is, i want to make sure im in that group
  20. http://www.money-rates.com/savings.htm about 2% is the max for online savings http://cdrates.bankaholic.com/?product=19&sort=14&go_button=Go 1.27 max - 1 yr 1.55 max - 2 yr 1.84 max - 3 yr 2.37 max - 5 yr
  21. oh i think my heart stopped for a few seconds there, but then it was like someone hit me with a defibrillator. amazing game. couldnt have asked for more.
  22. yeah...a guy on another forum always talked about online savings and he was getting high 4's or low 5's %, and by the time i finally had money to put into savings, it was below 2%, and had just gone down since then. but i guess i cant complain too much. i think on my <$10k savings ive earned about $120 or so, so its really free $ to me.
  23. Not much on online savings last time i checked...ally had the best rates end of 08 when i opened mine, and it was like 1.8x% and now its like 1.2%
  24. I had to sign a waiver that i couldnt sue if i got shot or whatever, and and the sergeant was going over pursuit "rules" and menioned that they cant be involved with a ride along...but i havent done the academy yet
  25. so, i got an email today. exactly what i was looking for. " I am writing you today to inform you there is a reference guide provided to you from the testing vendor. This reference guide gives an explanation of the different testing sections and references the practice test site that is available online. The practice test is the candidate's option for $14.95 which allows 2 passes through. It is not necessary in order to do well, but it does help reduce test anxiety for those that have not taken testing like this before. There is no other study material for this exam." sweeet
