100+ cars in ~5 years? ill call bs
-
wow...i dont know if you were at the same spot, but i remember this out main street past reynoldsburg a couple miles. that was back when i was probably ~18 and sam still had his red corvette, and i think i even remember him and a red TT stealth going at it a few times. old memories from meeting at kroger on broad just popped back into my head

If you have any issues, my gfs grandpa does smithing for vances im sure i could have him check it out for you
-
i have learned though, if you ever get in an accident, only words you need to say are "owww, my back!" lol
-
ah...gotcha. i thought you were talking 12k to him. i think all in all they paid a little over 17k for my medical/atty/me, and they paid most of my car off, like $5700 and i had gap insurance for the rest.
-
idk man. they pitched me $1000 and said they *might* be able to get it to $1500...this was cash for me, covering all my medical shit it ended up being over 9k extra they had to pay between me and my atty.
-
is that your type?
-
dude, i only got $4300 from a bulging disc in my back w/ a lawyer, and i didnt get it settled until almost 2 years after the accident. this was just a few months ago that i got it done too. march-ish
-
i was bidding on it on the inital listing, and once it was done and over, had i bid the asking price, i would have lost. they told us what the other bids were. and for me, $3k extra to get the house was worth it. plus its not like i bid over what the house is worth. i still got it for ~37k under what it appraised for <2 years earlier.
-
i could be wrong, but i would say if it was bought stock, the banks not going to be able to do shit if you take aftermarket parts off. and i highly doubt the insurance company has been able to pay him for it yet when my car got wrecked i was able to go to the yard and get my CD player out (had to put stock radio back in), and a few other things. granted i dont think i would have had time to swap a whole intake manifold over since the guy was standing there waiting for me the whole time, but who knows.

i LOL'd. i'll probablyy have to pick it up when it comes out. funny movie. dumb funny, but still funny "Barry, tell me I can eat your pudding!"
-
a) doubtful and b) its already done. my brothers good friend (i actually used to be friends with him when we were kids) got me the whole unit through his work, and installed it on the side with his coworker. he did the whole thing for <$2k
-
maybe you just got unlucky. i had to escrow like $3500 for a/c unit, roof patching, and a few other small things, and i was able to go FHA with $100 down (hud program back then) and i got 5.000% with low 700s score.. from the time i locked it in to when i closed rates only dropped down to like 4.875% or so, so it was prime rate at the time.
-
+1 on the lowball hud. i didnt, but at the same time, im glad i didnt or i would have lost it. listed at 75k, and i bid 78k. its a 2br (was a 3, i turned 2 into a large master) 1.5 ba, 1400 sq/ft that appraised for 115,300 in 07 guy a few houses down has same house but still a 3br, minus some renovations ive done and just listed it for 118,500. if i could even get that in 5-6 years when i plan to sell, that'd be $40k profit minus what ive put into it.

i was going to say the same thing.

Hey did your rear drivers wheel end up getting sheared off completely? Guy at my work thinks he saw your car on a tow truck on 270 but the wheel was off.
-
Well, i bought my house march 23rd 2009. My appraisals were from 12/31/08 (HUDs appraisal) and early march 09 (from my bank). I sent in the complaint 1/1/10 and they notified me it was accepted in april

Update...auditors office showed myupdated value online 8/1, and in the mail today i got a check for the overages paid on the reduced value. Now im just waiting on some stuff from my bank to show the title company they missed a special assessment which had to be paid from my escrow account which will get me another $400 back that i should have never had to have paid

i wasn't watching the light, but either way, the lights are on the same time, and they change at the same time...your light doesnt turn red after hers would...so if she ran a red light, you ran a red light. if she went on yellow, you went on yellow. i could/may be wrong, but IIRC, the thing people do here in ohio to move out into the intersection and turn once a light goes from yellow to red is illegal and still considered running a red light...when i go visit my buddy in pittsburgh, it drives me nuts because people actually wait at the line, and if it turns to yellow, theyre not trying to go thru, they'll wait for the next light. i just think its become the acceptable way to do it here.. i dont doubt you both may have been trying to go on yellow, because my light turned green not long (ie, within maybe 3-6 seconds) after the impact. if i had to guess (and im not saying this is how it went, so dont take it the wrong way), it looked like the 1st car in your lane went left on a green, and by the time the 2nd and 3rd started to go, the light was turning/had turned yellow. it looked like you got on it to make the turn, got into the intersection right at the end of the yellow (which is why it looked to me like you were about to hurry and get thru the intersection and make your turn) and you would have started to turn as it was turning red...probably the same thing on her end, she thought she had enough time on the yellow and burned an orange light hitting you...it sucks but you have to yield making a left turn, which you found out in an unfortunate situation i was kinda in the same position 2 years ago, i got into the center turn lane and a guy got waved out from the right side of the road (across 2 northbound lanes + the center i was in), and i t-boned him, but since he was turning left across traffic, he had to yield, and he got cited

i should buy a car trailer and rent it out on this site. i could probably make my money back + some extra in no time at all. lol. seems like i see quite a few threads wanting to borrow a trailer

+1. my grandpa does security/PI stuff and i remember going there with him as a kid to get things all the time. there also used to be a place in gahanna called sightsinger security, but i dont know if its still there with all the remodeling of the creekside area it is/was in. if its in the same spot its on mill street in gahanna if neither of those work, PM me and i'll give my grandpa a buzz. i may not check this thread again

dude, i watched the whole, thing. i just didnt see the red civic coming because i was the 2nd car at the light coming off 270 s to morse rd, and i was in the left left-turn lane, so the cars in the other 2 lanes were blocking everything west of the intersection...i was actually watching your car because i saw your wheels and heard your exhaust...i saw 2 or 3 cars ahead of yours, they took the left turn, i saw there was a ~2.5-3 car gap between the last car to turn and yours, (kinda like they had moved up and you realized you needed to go, and gunned it just a little to move up a bit)...i thought you were going to tear ass up the entrance ramp, and i wanted to hear your exhaust, and as soon as you started to turn, BOOM. i was the one who came up to make sure you were ok and you were asking me if that girl had called the police yet. who'd they give the ticket to?
