i guess im just debating on if i should hire an attorney for an injury like this, and give up ~30% of my settlement or if i should try to handle it myself...

isnt sauder a furniture company? cant find anything like that online? i had a short that ended up burning up a speed sensor in my old car, found a guy with a parts car, gave him like 20$ to cut off the sensor and about 6" of the 3 wires, cut old sensor plug out, soldered in the new one and covered it with some shrink wrap. never had an issue again but the reason the dealership probably doesnt know or cant get it is its probably part of the whole wiring harness and they're gonna try to get you to drop big $$ for the whole harness. some junkyards wont even cut it out, they'll try to do the same thing

didnt you go to gahanna? im pretty sure i remember them having one there, but i graduated in 03, so maybe they ditched it before you got there but at gahanna they had a make your own deli sandwich for i think $3.50, and i loaded it up with every thing on that table. it was a beast. then on the days there was no deli sandwich, they had a pasta bar, you made your own, and then they charged you based on weight i got so fat in HS for these exact 2 reasons.

im with those on the first page who said they dont want to leave ohio and try to learn a new place. i'd move to NE ohio (like 45 min NE of cleveland. fuck living in that shithole), but that would be about as major as it gets. i would hate to find a place to live, find a new job, learn a new city, have to meet new people and not have my friends/family, etc etc. it'd be a new experience but im doing just dandy where im at now

rock, paper, scissors bud light ad is probably my favorite in years "i threw paper" "...i threw rock!"

i got a long few days coming up at work, and would like to load up my ipod with some comedy instead of the same old music i listen to daily. i think im going to download some daniel tosh and josh blue, since the little bit ive heard, i liked. i've already been thru dane cook's vicious circle, lisa lampanelli, and carlos mencia. who else is good that i can d/l that will keep me entertained for the next couple days?

no sprain here. i was going for a while and they were thinking it wasn't anything major. after some time and me google searching, my thoughts were a possible bulging disc. i mentioned it to him, and he said if the adjustments dont help over X amount of time, he will order the MRI. well, i was feeling better, but at random times i would feel a pinch in my back if i moved wrong, sometimes i would wake up with pain from my back thru my ass and ending just above my knee, but most would go away in a couple days. last weekend i was leaning over looking for something in a drawer and stood up and almost fell over i got a pinch of pain so bad...i got the same pain from going from a sitting down position and going to a standing up position, so i went to the ER. they just gave me some pain meds and told me to follow up with my dr. i went in monday, he sent me for an MRI tuesday which showed i had a bulging disc (L5 S1 i believe), as well as i believe he saw there was a good bit of degeneration in that disc... i had bills between the ER from the day of the accident, the xray department, and the chiro from may-nov was up to around $3700 as of now... i haven't gotten the bill from the ER from last weekend, and from what he said, the spinal decompression therapy alone is going to be ~$4k (200/treatment x 20), adjustments/e-stim is another 65$ or so. mine and the guy at fault both have statefarm. currently, my policy is paying the medical, and wil subrogate (sp?) once im finished with the medical, so they're not submitting bill after bill after bill.

do you do anything as far as settlements on PI claims? im trying to determine what would be reasonable for me to go after from my accident in april once i (hopefully) get done with treatment in a couple months. i wont go into too much detail here, but if you want, i can PM you.

leaving once cops is over. it amazes me how dumb these people are on this show. "we got you on camera stealing copper, down to the logo on your shirt" (logo happened to be C.O.P.S. LOL!) "you aint got me on camera!"

what insurance company do you work for, if you dont mind me asking?

i guess this same thing happened to the dr. office my mom works for (where im going). when i was on the decomp table this week i heard her call an insurance company saying that the woman got her check and didnt pay them, and "this is the exact reason we told you to send the check directly to us!". lol. i knew my mom yelled at us as kids, but i havent heard her get an attitude like that in years.

i hate the comments about the wages you're gonna make at mcdonalds, taco bell, krogers, etc. heres the deal right now, you are making ZERO. minimum wage (here, at least) is $6.85/hr. now, i wasn't a math major, but im pretty sure that $6.85 > $0. work at the minimum wage job so you have SOME income, then in your time off, look for a better job, and drop the shit job once you find something. i do collections and i hate people telling me at 2pm in the afternoon they haven't been able to get a job in 6 months. well, you lazy fucker, you're sitting home at 2pm when you could be out looking for a job...and why am i talking to you on a cell phone? if you're unemployed, your full time job should be looking for a job.

i need 6 months to get cash for downpayment and try to get my credit score up a little more... i dont think its going to change that much in the time frame. i did see 30 yr fixed rates at 5.25% at huntington yesterday. sounds great

im hoping i can get a decent settlement from a car accident by the time my lease is up in may, so i can put down a good chunk for a house. my rent is pretty reasonable (under 600 for a 1,000 sq/ft 2 bed 2 full bath and a balcony) but id like to buy instead of rent for another year.

i can feel your pain. luckily for me, from my accident in april, my insurance is paying my medical bills until im done, then they're submitting to his policy at the end (same company though)... from may to november, i was going to the chiro every week, sometimes twice, and i was still getting sporradic (sp) pain in my back. sometimes it was there, sometimes it would go away for a week...finally doc ordered an MRI which i went in for on tuesday, and it turns out i have a bulging disc (between L5 and S1 i believe), so they started me on spinal decompression. being that its PI, my med bills are already up to about 4k, and the decomp therapy/adjustment/e-stim is around $260/visit, and i have to do it 3x/week for 20 treatments...ends up being a ~$5k treatment i will say, after a couple trips in, i haven't had pain this week. before, even when i wasnt in pain, doing something like sneezing would trigger a sharp quick pain, then i would be fine. i guess my question is why didnt the insurance company pay you directly? was the patient at fault or was the other party involved at fault? it sounds like if he got a settlement, the other party was at fault. shoulda got the claim # and submitted it to them.
