no. i had one before this, beat the shit out of it, and it never gave me a problem. only reason i dont have it now is the hail storm in oct totalled it out and nationwide refused to let me buy it back ive seen this happen 2-3x on the hyundai forums, and those were cars running A LOT of boost this one i just have to DD. i dont beat on it, because my goal was to have something reliable for a few years, like my old one was oh....about 63k miles on the car. im pissed. ive had it since april and put 6k miles on it

out of no where today, on my way to work, my car through a rod through the block. its 3k miles out of the 2nd owner warranty, and the dealership isnt much of a help its a stock for stock motor swap. i just need to get it done soon, so i can be mobile again ive found an engine thru LKQ that i can get delivered to ~5 min from my house, and can be brought to you. the only thing besides the engine being swapped in i would be looking for is the timing belt being swapped over from the old engine, as it was just replaced 3k miles ago, and the new used engine is coming up on the point where it would need to be changed. ive already called derek and left a message for john rutan...figured id post here to see if anyone else can do it PM with a price and a # so i can set something up

ive got a shitload of limestone and im thinking about just springing for the CaribSea substrate and doing it right the first time i just need to find out which cichlids i can mix in a single tank. the guy at aquarium adventures said to keep africans together, but reading on the cichlid forum it seems that the ones from a certain lake need to be kept together

send me some pics. i read one way to tell is to drop vinegar on them, and they should fiz up. a couple people said though that vinegar isnt strong enough and diluted hydrochloric acid is the best way to tell...im in a search now to find some to test a few rocks

i found a cichlid forum (who knew they existed?) and been reading up a lot. it looks like a good filter is a marineland, theres a model for up to 55g, and the next one up i think is up to 100g. watching some of the viedos, cleaning the sand doesnt seem to be too bad at all. i also found that pool filter sand can be used, and is fairly cheap (10$ for a 100lb bag). i just dont think pool filter sand comes in cool colors...im gonna look into it so i think what i need to buy at this time is 1) limestone pieces 2) filter 3) sand of some sort 4) fish 5) misc decorations 6) water quality monitoring strips

need some limestone. not huge pieces, and i dont need a lot. maybe 20-30lbs? using it for a fish tank to keep the pH up. if you have some from taking down some landscaping projects, or just happen to have some sitting around you dont want, let me know. can be in bigger pieces, as long as they can be broken into smaller pieces not looking to spend much...cheap to free is my price range let me know what you got.

the 10 gallon would easily hold 8-10 small tropical fish (mollies, guppies). for it you will probably need some more gravel for the bottom, a filter cartridge (2.50-3$ at meijer) and whatever decorations you want to put in it. i might have a few extras, ill throw in, but my selection will be very limited. you're welcome to any of the decorations i can find
