  1. damn, thats cool as fuck. sorry for the o/t posts in your thread
  2. and what happens if you take it off and set it on your dresser for the night??
  3. isnt this is the same guy that when the 9/11 movie came out and they had the part about him pulling the guys from the rubble, that he was scripted as a white guy because he never came forward and said who he was, etc...once the movie was out, he came forward and the news did a big story on him i agree with the other people...they could help 1,000 other people in columbus that is much more unfortunate than that guy. 10 kids or not.
  4. i dont know wtf you just said in your post, but the only hyundai/kia made 100% in america is the new 06+ sonatas at the new factory in alabama. all other kia/hyundais are still s. korean made
  5. you mean "while"? where do you work?
  6. sorry...just searched the wrong words
  7. my g/fs parents have farmers, and they sucked to deal with when her car got totalled from hail last month...like 2 weeks to call her back after 4-5 calls to them...nationwide was quick with me now, im on my own plan with progressive. i went from paying 180/month on a 2003 elantra on my dads plan to paying 210/mo (only 30$ more, same coverage) for a 95 integra gsr 2 door. i have one ticket/accident from 04 and the comp claim, and im 21, driving a 2 door 'sport compact'...i dont think thats 2 bad considering nationwide said for my own plan for my elantra would be 4000/6 months
  8. ok...im gonna jump in here because i did own a hyundai elantra for 3 years for the first year and a half, i delivered pizza in it. 100% city driving. hardest driving you can have on a car. in/around may 05, i got an office job. from nov 03-may 05, i put 55k miles on it. i changed the oil regularly (3500 miles), and kept up on any routine maintenence...i think i changed the plugs at 60k, and did the timing belt...still looked fine, but was reccomended. thats it. in the 3 years i had the car, i had ONE single problem that i did not directly cause...it turned out to be a clutch interlock switch, wouldnt allow the car to start...i took it in, got a rental, it was fixed in 2 hours now i had problems that i actually did cause. i beat the shit out of the car. ill be honest. i would regularly take it to redline, power shift, roast the tires...i went through 3 clutches...i knew it would happen...cant blame the manufacturer for my driving. the transmission held strong for 3 years of abuse. i never had any odd transmission sounds, grinding of gears, nothing in july 06, a buddy of mine and me were installing an adjustable cam sprocket. we jumped a few teeth on the belt, in turn bending some valves. my fault completely now as for repairs...i would much rather have something happen on that car, then my current 95 integra gsr. when i blew the engine in my elantra, i got an engine with 26k miles for 370$ shipped to LKQ in blacklick. i had it installed for 300$ by Rutan TA. know how much it would cost me to get a similar mileage engine for the integra (if you could find one w/ 26k miles)? close to 4000-5000. a new distributor (as quoted from a buddy of mine at an acura dealership in indiana) "Well, it runs $383.87 retail. I can swing $325.55. that's the whole distributor base without ignitor and coil or cap and rotor" figure a few more dollars in for the rest of the parts the cars are built well. the azera has won many jd power awards, as has the sonata, tuscon, and im pretty sure the xd2 (04-06 elantras) have as well. hyundai has come along way from the old excels and s-coupes...i would not hesitate one second to buy another one. these cars are now competing with honda/toyota, and are doing quite well...thats how far they have come along actually, a lot of the parts are interchangeable, as they are produced by the same companies. i know for a fact that my throttle body, and oil pan are both stamped KIA and HYUNDAI. i have also seen Hyundai stamped on my dads sorrento. the new kia spectra is built on the same platform as the hyundai elantras, and actually share the same beta2 engines...they swap aftermarket parts all day long i think the reason a lot of people here are trashing them is because this is a race oriented board...these are not race cars...these are family sedans, good on gas mileage and will haul people around comfortably. these arent made to go fast by any means. i could understand if you went to get the rental and they said 'heres the new race inspired kia optima...bye', but they didnt. im sure you would have this same thread had they given you a stock chevy cobalt or even an aveo
  9. i searched for "resurface rotors" as a broader search (instead of 'resurface crossdrilled rotors') and only came up w/ a thread about a guy needing brakes on an rx7
  10. let me get in touch w/ this guy, make sure he still has them, and ill get in touch with you as soon as i get my hands on them
  11. where can i get this done, and how much would it run me?
  12. is it possible to resurface drilled rotors? found a guy thats got a set w/ 10k miles on them, but said they need to be resurfaced just a bit. 40$ for a set of brembos, so i figure its a steal if i can get them for 40$ and get them resurfaced
  13. i still like the college fuck fest and frathouse fuck fest vids...i dont know why..seems better than actual porn to me
  14. sounds easy as hell...hopefully it turns out good
  15. yeah, i checked there first, but theres 28 different recipes, none of which i have tried...that is why i asked if anyone here has any of their own recipes that could compare
  16. i think 151 alone is enough. i did somewhere between 9 and 11 shots with my old boss and her b/f one night at a party...needless to say, i was drunk the entire next day
  17. anyone got a good recipe? i need to make some soon...would like to make some comparable to what you would get at damons, or the prime rib at o'charleys i know on a forum thats 98% guys, someone or their wife has to have a recipe for this tia evan
  18. ha...i had one of those i bought for my elantra...was like 10$. it is nice to keep misc cards in it.
  19. i heard it as "why does michael jackson like twenty eight year olds"
  20. my girl told me the same thing when we were looking at some jewelry. "i dont wear yellow gold"...i was like..FUCK. i was about to get in touch with you about this too
