I am a big fan of the .270
You can get 90 grain for things like groundhogs and yotes
and all the way up to 160 grain for Elk
Only problem is the .270 is optimized for a 24" barrel and you really lose a decent amount of velocity in a 22" or 20" barrel. Otherwise I feel it is the most versitile caliber out there.
What kind of 12 gauge do you want? target? field loads? slugs? buckshot?
Vances/Buckeye Outdoors sells cases of 250 for $50-60 depending on load and brand
Thomas is the best shooter on the team, he can shoot whenever he wants.
At the same time, he makes those extra passes as needed. Typically the only time he shoots a 3 is when he is wide open. Sometimes his shot is just way off. He doesn't really take bad shots
A little damage maybe, but that Dick's is mainly golf and workout gear. I doubt Cabela's has any major impact on that store's bottom line.
Buckeye Outdoors and Fin, Feather, Fur probably stand to lose the most in apparel and acces. sales
When you look them up, they have lots of stores in the 50-100k range actually. Most are close to a larger store (few hour drive) It looks like they are done with the "flagship" style stores for the time being.
Everytime I see a thread about this show on a forum, I think it says "Doomsday Peppers" and I automatically think to myself "damn, I'd like to try some of those"
