  1. If you are gonna compare schedule records at least use the same point in the season. L Monroe 4-3 Msu 2-5 Citadel 1-7 L tech 4-4 UK 1-7 Ole miss 3-4
  2. Yes I've watched Minnesota. They are unimpressive. Wisconsin has an experienced pressure defense that will hand Indiana just fine and put PSU in the same predicament they were in against OSU. I can do math by the way.
  3. I dont see Wisconsin losing any more games. Not sure where you get 3-4 losses. BYU will be tough but its at camp Randall.
  4. Wisconsin and MSU will finish near equal to LSU and Tenn. Out of Conference Lousiana Tech (6-6), Louisiana Monroe(5-6), Citadel(3-7) 3-8 Miss State 2-9 Kentucky 4-7 Ole Miss
  5. If MSU wins out and we meet them in the B1G championship, Auburn's won't be "a lot" tougher. They Auburn would have only pklayed 1 more ranked team
  6. Why can't we be Auburn? They were undefeated and left out.
  7. personal level on both, but mainly because it's purdue and how they have performed the past few years. I think OSU gets up on Purdue really fast, then sleepwalks the 2nd half but the game is never close.
  8. I think they are gonna be fired up. Not because they are fired up to play a good opponent, but I think this is more on a personal level for a lot of players.
  9. That's like when ray small almost died against Minnesota. Everyone in the stadium saw it coming except small and t smith
  10. http://www.nytimes.com/2013/10/25/sports/ncaafootball/ohio-states-staff-offers-a-mix-thats-unmatched.html?_r=0&adxnnl=1&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss&pagewanted=2&adxnnlx=1382702900-jgxJCfMuH0lMN5VX/Y6sLA If Meyer keeps the same philosophy on hires as he did in this article, I don't think you are gonna see any "big name 7 figure guys" hired. So that eliminates John Chavis.
  11. Yep covered the mulch for about 10 minutes
  12. The Miami situation is not comparable. The NCAA screwed up the investigation so badly that Miami had a legit lawsuit against the NCAA if they hampered their athletic department operations. They are a private university, so they operate off of receipts, meaning that they could sue the NCAA for impeding the financial operations of the university. Had the NCAA not screwed up, the Football and Basketball programs were probably both looking at 3-4 years post season bans, mulitple scholarship losses, and more show cause penalties.
  13. Snowing pretty hard at Easton
  14. Maybe it will gel the defense. I don't care what scheme they play as long as it works. We just can't have these different position groups coaching different strategies causing players to blow assignments. Against Iowa they were playing a cover 3 with the LB covering the flats. The LB were being coached to play run support first. The DB's were coached to take an immediate drop and sit. What happens? The LB are chasing and the DB are already downfield. It wasn't just their QB hitting a hole in the zone, it was just a poorly executed cluster. That TD that Reeves gave up was PURELY on the DB coaching. He is coached to go for the pick, not the tight coverage and the PBU.
  15. Basically from what I understand, I think Meyer would like both Withers and Fickell to leave. There are basically 3 opinions on how the defense should be run. Meyer wants 7-8 in covereage and the d-line getting all pressure. Fickell wants a strong zone with some zone blitzes and cover 1 thrown in. Withers wants a "sit back and trigger" kind of defense to create turnovers. Put all that together we have a soft zone with no blitzes and a young DL that needs some help. Sounds wonderful don't it?
  16. Herman will be replaced with an experienced QB coach in terms of bodies, so Montgomery and Yost are solid names, but will they play second fiddle to Warriner? As for DC, will Withers be let go? I would think he would be promoted to head DC and they would just hire a LB coach.
  17. Man love? Lol. I just like laughing at narrow minded opinions about Gene Smith. His job goes far beyond the football program.
  18. Yeah nothing special, he only That's not something plenty of other AD's out there can do. Andy Geiger couldn't do it. Schottenstein is the only reason Smith is still here? LOL, some funny things you read on those pay forums. He has only been the chair for 1 1/2 years. If the board wanted him out, they would vote him out. Schottenstein isn't the only one on the board who likes money. This is hilarious
  19. Right because Ohio State doesn't care about money at all or anything
  20. False, its because he runs the most fiscally efficient athletic department in the nation.
  21. They are still trying to get over integration, give them a break
  22. Head over to the Quarter Horse Congress and pick up one of the show deal trucks there. Go Saturday.
  23. He lied to investigators during the original tat scandal as well. And UM's method worked out well, as they didn't get any punishment beyond their self imposed. The scholarship reduction is LESS than what they had self imposed. The NCAA was facing a legitimate lawsuit had they done anything to impede the athletic department.
  24. and a lying statement from Tressel. But you forget this http://www.sbnation.com/college-football/2013/3/27/4154708/ncaa-botched-miami-investigation-mark-emmert-donna-shalala
  25. Also it's pretty funny to use an example of a team self imposing a 2 year bowl ban and a conference championship ban, to say that OSU would have only gotten a 1 year ban :dumb:
