I will state that yes, i am an idiot. I am actually really really upset over all of this.

They said this morning that they have caught some and have been patrolling the neighborhoods more at night rather than just the main road.

My garage door opening was right there and they didnt even mess with it. Definitely a grab and go.

My truck is slightly too long for my garage. The garage is wider (double door) and just a little shorter than normal.

I have a buddy that is a CPD detective and he said that people from the slums on Brice and Gender are coming into Pickerington and literally just blanketing the city in petty theft. They are just running from house to house (no cars parked on the street) and getting into open cars and taking what they can

At least he wouldn't ruin the life of anyone important

With a 15 lb trigger and no safety, there is a good chance the guy is gonna shoot himself with it trying to figure out why the trigger wont pull

Yeah usually I will remember before bed or in the middle of the night. I passed out at like 9:30 last night, I didn't even take care of the dogs or anything (wife did).

I just heard from a neighbor that another neighbor had all his tools that he needed for a job today stolen. Ouch.

Eh, im not really worried about the money. And my kid I was carrying was crying when we got home, the items in my vehicle were the last things on my mind.

It wasn't PRETTY obvious, but if you looked on the floor you could see it under the seat. Like i said though, they got into a ton of other cars on the street, and it seems like mine was last because there were bags and stuff laying next to my truck that they had taken out of other cars. They dumped everything out of my work bag on the floor of that seat and it seems like they found it after that because the lockbox was on top of all that stuff

They got a ton of other cars as well on the street and went through some stupid shit. They also forgot to grab the cord for the GPS. Sounds like crackheads to me. Like I keep a journal of all my hunts in my center console, and they went through that.

Also, if anyone frequents craigslist or anything, keep an eye out for a 4 year old Garmin GPS with no cord included for sale. LOL

They got it open in the truck. I forget the brand, I'll look at the later. It looks like they hit it with an ice pick and a hammer a few times, it was chained to the seat track. The inside of the truck was all wet, so I think they did it during the rainstorm over night, which is why no one heard anything.

The cop that responded told me that this is the first time he has ever responded to a stolen gun where it was locked up. He said it is usually reported that they left it laying on the seat or the dah :dumb:

It was locked in a lockbox under the seat. I can't take it into the building at work, so I lock it in there. I had my hands full when I got home last night and must have forgot about it.

Overnight some dumbass decided to go through my truck because I musta forgot to lock the truck last night and they broke open the lock box and stole my Kel Tec. now I'm just another a irresponsible gun owner and I feel like s*** about it

Are you wanting to put this on an AR pistol or put it on an AR rifle? Your first post is confusing. The serial numbers on a lower classify the gun as either a rifle or a pistol, you cannot just up and convert one to the other, it would be an SBR. If you put this on a rifle and it makes it shorter than minimum legal length, you just committed a felony. The buffer tube has nothing to do with it (When buying a lower to build an AR pistol, your 4473 needs to be filled out as pistol, not rifle. Lots of guys unknowingly running around with illegal SBRs )
