Import, newer, no civics and under 10k? I don't know... that's really restrictive. I don't know anything that would be in that range. If you include domestic I would suggest Chevy Tracker LT. It should be able to tow that with the v6 and get like 20 mpg. It's not good mpg but not too horrible. They won't be as reliable as a CR-V though.
