    stang+snow=death

I drove an 88 5.0 for years in the snow, it's nothing. Don't be a pussy. Hell, IMO, it handled about as well as my old GTP. It's all in the mindset. Now I have my TrailBlazer, had an F250, had a 1996 Explorer - all 4WD - fuck 2WD anything in the snow. What time? I came down Feder, took it all the way to Hauge and then connected to Grandview Road and jumped in I-670 to downtown at about 9:30. Wasn't bad at all.
  4. All I know is, this being arguably the weirdest season in college football history, I care not to speculate. Sincerely, Patiently Waiting for January 7th
  5. Do you need the access, or can you tell me what you're looking for and I can get it for you? I have access to DW but it's for me only, I can't give out my password.
  6. Off-snow and ice, the studs will make traction worse. Don't make a mistake...
  7. Good luck with that. Studs suck. We don't live in Colorado, you can definitely live without the studs.
  8. Unfortunately, that's vastly out of my price range for this. I know and understand what you're saying, but seriously, I have such low expectations for this and I want to get out of it for really, really cheap. I'm talking Bulldog + labor cheap. The farthest distance I need it to start for is about 300 feet.
  9. Looks like there hasn't been a thread about remote starters since about this time last year. Who should I see for a cheap, absolutely no-frills (can use the factory remotes for all I care) remote starter install for my 2002 TrailBlazer? I don't plan to keep the truck more than another year or two, so I don't care to invest into anything spectacular. All I want it to do is start. Thank you.
  10. Without getting terribly deep into it, the specified fluid is a food-grade (made from animal fat, hence the smell) extremely heat and friction tolerant fluid. My source is a gentleman who had a hand in the development of the modern half-helix supercharger for OEM applications. He said they tested a few hundred different fluids and the fluid that GM (and later, Ford) uses was hands-down the best for the application – even over several very expensive mil-spec synthetic fluids (so much so that the military switched to this fluid for a few applications after the tests). What you've heard about it varnishing, pre-maturely failing, etc. are all false. As long as the fluid is changed regularly (every 25k or so, longer for light duty and shorter for heavy duty) it will be fine. It's the best fluid for the application.

    Cold?

    That was a great read!
  12. I wouldn't use that if I were you. I would use the specified fluid, it's much better than most people think. GM and Ford both stock the correct fluid at any dealership. For GM, just tell them it's a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix with the supercharged engine. It's about $8 a bottle and you'll need two for a full fill.
  13. Missouri got fucked more than Georgia. Go OSU!
  14. XV6800 is released online (and calling in) today. Already called and ordered one, it'll be here Friday, and I'll send back this POS i760.
  15. I've been fantastic! Getting married in 6 months. Good to see you around here. ClubGP OG party.
