I have decided to sell my GN, though I do not want to. I am moving to a smaller space soon and I just won't have the room for the car. I also do not have the time, or money to do with the car what I want too. I have owned the car for nearly 7 years and have done 90% of the work on it. It still needs some work on the paint and interior since both are nearly 25 years old and are showing their age. The car runs great and is very capable on the street and the track. Here is a list of mods done to the car but I am sure I will miss a few things. Engine Stock heads, Pistons, Rods, and Crank Champion Ported and Polished intake manifold Ported 62mm Throttle Body with matched Plenum MSD 50# injectors 204/214 Cam Ported Front Cover High Volume Oil Pump Turbo Saver Oil system (moves the oil filter behind headlight and sends filtered oil to turbo) Precision 6262SP Billet Dual Ball Bearing turbo w/ Ported compressor housing (less than year old) High Pressure Wastegate GbodyParts 3in Downpipe with dump pipe Pypes 2.5in dual exhaust (less than a year old) TR Customs 3in Front Mount with aluminum pipes both powder coated black Valve Covers powder coated black Red Silicone Vacuum lines Stainless Steel upper radiator hose MSD Plug Wires RJC EGR Block off plate Alky Control Progressive Alcohol Injection kit Powerlogger scan tool car will come with the notebook computer with program on it Drivetrain/Suspension Extreme Automatics Stage 2 200-4r less than 500 miles on refresh Edge Racing 9.5in 3000 stall converter Hughes Performance Aluminum Deep Pan Denny's 3in Nitrous Ready Driveshaft with 1350 chrome moly yokes Front and Rear Bilstein shocks Kirbans Rear Progressive Springs BMR Rear Tubular Upper Control Arms with poly bushings BMR Rear Boxed Lower Control arms with poly bushings GbodyParts Rear 1-3/4" sway bar B&M Transcooler Gbodyparts Rear seat cross braces Weld Racing Pro-Stars Nitto DR's Interior Pioneer Premier headunit with iPod/iPhone connector Infinity front speakers Kenwood rear speakers Crossfire 5 channel Amp Sony Xplode 10in subs in custom box Autometer Sport Comp II Boost, Oil Pressure, and Water Temp gauges ScanMaster Scan tool Like I said the car has more than what is listed but this is what I can remember. Performance wise the car runs very strong for its age the motor runs without any major vibration or hiccups and the compression is 130 psi across the board. Best time the car has seen at the track was a 12.1 @ 114 mph w/ 1.9 60 ft. With a better 60' the car will run 11's easily and some more fine tuning could possibly see low 11's as it sits. The price is $10,000 FIRM, with everything invested I feel that is a fair price and I will not go lower, with a paint job and drivers seat repaired I would be asking $15,000. The rest of the interior is in great shape and the back seat is nearly perfect, Carpet is in great shape and only a few years old. Again $10,000 FIRM is the price and anyone who wants more details can call or text me @ 419-957-2314 I prefer text though. Please only serious buyers, no tire kickers, no joy rides. No test drives unless you are serious and have the funds available.

Going through some old boxes and I found my old BB Storm 2. Charged it up and it still works so if anyone is looking for a BB let me know and I will sell it. Comes with an Otterbox case and screen protector. It has been sitting for a while but charged it up and everything works fine on it looking for $75 with the case, $50 without, case was nearly $60. Comes with charger too.

That just about seals it, I am gonna move to Australia.

I get what you are saying and yes they both have skill and talent, otherwise they would not be playing in the NFL. I do not think the difference in winning is that the QB is the better fit for the team, Denver was 1-4 before Tebow took over I think it more comes down to attitude. Tebow is all about a positive attitude. Another reason I think he will be more successful than Cam, he just has a drive and a positive attitude and sometimes that can be the difference between a win and a loss. Tebow is a competitor plain and simple and I think that is why a lot of people are fans of his. Have not seen much of Newton as far as interviews but he just comes off as entitled and as long as he is cashing checks he isn't that concerned with winning. That is my opinion of him, he just does not have the attitude of a winner, he is too much about himself.
-
I dislike Newton and Tebow, I think both are highly overrated and neither are capable NFL quarterbacks. However, Tebow is a winner plain and simple, the first 3 quarters of the game he is showing why he should not be an NFL quarterback, then out of no where he is playing like a man possessed, I don't know what to make of it, but he is a winner. Newton on the other hand will not amount to much unless the Panthers build something around him, I just don't see that happening though, he won't drift off to obscurity like Jamarcus Russell but won't accomplish anything of importance after the novelty of his rookie season is over.

Well I guess that would technically be a renewable energy source, despite how creepy it is.

Glad to see he is still making progress, that car is gonna be bad ass when he gets it done.

Shoulda got a G8, the ultimate family friendly daily driver

200-4R's came in a lot of 80's RWD GM's more specifically the G-Body. It was also the stock trans in the GN's, however the GN's got better parts to strengthen them like a better valve body. If built properly they will handle a good bit of power however in stock form they won't hold very much. They are one of the lightest RWD tranny that GM made making them popular in builds where weight is a concern, especially since people have learned to make them hold decent power.

Official carnage pic thread ha ha, here is my tranny after the driveshaft snapped on the dyno http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w117/blackbuick1987/IMAG0009.jpg http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w117/blackbuick1987/IMAG0010.jpg http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w117/blackbuick1987/IMAG0011.jpg http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w117/blackbuick1987/IMAG0012.jpg

Best pass was a 12.15 @ 114 w/ 1.9 60ft. I know the car has 11's in it. With some better short times it will get there.
-
Best pass was a 12.1 @ 114, but after looking over my logs some more the car has a lot more in it. Still ironing out some issues from the major reconstructive surgery the car had after the driveshaft snapped but once they are worked out the car should be in the 11's easily. Depending on the weather this may be the last event for the car this year so I might start on getting the issues worked out. Buford will be back next year meaner and hungrier that is for sure. Oh... and why is my low 12 second car so quiet, has full interior, full stereo including sub-box, A/C, and pump gas? Because street car :fuckyeah:

Hopefully I do not disappoint. I did take it to trails on a Friday a while back but had a few issues with it, the wastegate decided it wanted to stay open causing zero boost at the line, slow spool, and boost maxed out at 6-7 psi according to the powerlogger. Still ran a 13.2 @103 but obviously the car has more in it since it is supposed to be running 25+psi. The weather looks to be a lot better too, that night was 90+ and humid as a hell. Hopefully with some tuning tweaks and getting a decent launch I hope to touch 11's but we will see.
-
Could you PM me a price to detail my G8 inside out, poor car needs it. Thanks!
-
I will have my netbook there you can use if ya want.
-
It is far from a beauty, but yeah I am bringing it out to hopefully get some shakedown runs in and practice launching the thing. Hopefully my wastegate behaves and I can get some boost going.
-
Signed up! See everyone there.

Great lesson for the kids, do not try to standout and perform or we will change the rules to hold you back. Instead of improving the rest of the kids to his level of play, prevent him from performing his best. No wonder this country is in the gutter.

Troubleshooting electrical problems can be a bitch. The battery could have definitely been bad and it could be caused by the starter going bad. The solenoid could be going out and causing the battery to drain, when they tested the battery the first time it could of tested bad and when they changed it with a fresh one it had enough juice to kick the starter over enough a few times to make it seem like the problem went away. After a few starts the battery could have been weakened enough to cause the problem to come back. The shop only half troubleshot the problem in my opinion. The problem is the starter which killed the first battery, and will kill the new battery eventually. At least that is my opinion of the problem because I have seen that situation a few thousand times. I say solenoid because that is the part most likely to go out and will also cause the condition of the gear spinning but not engaging the flywheel to spin the motor. Depends on the type of starter being used really but from the sounds of it the whole unit needs replaced.

The interior looks like it is nearly a carbon copy of the G8. I agree if that is the "replacement" they are talking about for the G8 I will just hang onto mine.
