  1. In a pinch the yellow bottles of Heet are basically pure meth (98+% anyway with stuff added to make it taste bitter), and since you are mixing it with water it could last a little while. Will get expensive though. I did that until I was able to go to trails and fill up my 2 gallon jug that would last me a few months. With the blue stuff I would be more worried about the premature pump wear than the nozzle clogging. They add all kinds of dyes, soaps, and who knows what to that crap and would never suggest anyone spray that into there engine or run it through there meth kit.
  2. I owned one and loved it only reason I sold was to get a cts-v wagon. Honestly the G8 was roomier in the back seat than my V is. The one to get if you can find one is a 2009.5 which adds factory Bluetooth, that is really the only difference in the 2 years they made them. The 2009.5 also has secondary cats but this will be taken care of if a cat back is installed. I drove mine a lot in the time I owned it and the only issue I came across was the front lower ball joints. It is a defect that GM tried to fix but even the improved design will go bad, mine did after about 30k miles. To replace all 4 arms is $250 so it really isn't that big of a deal. Replace the bushings will poly bushings and that seems to extend life significantly. Any other questions just ask.
  3. Sounds like someone is butthurt they can't harass a newbie. Grow up!
  4. If the base model looks that good I may have to rethink my decision to keep the wagon when the next V-series comes out.
  5. Cannot say I am saddened by this, guy did it to himself.
  6. My bad saw the small pic on my phone didn't notice the fenders and wheels
  7. No just that mine is black with black wheels, no fenders
  8. Looks just like mine, damn sexy is right!
  9. I forgot all about this, too bad Berto wimped out on a 7k AWD DSM pushing a shop cart launch. That was a fun night.
  10. Love all of my GM products and always will. The trans in my V is absolutely fantastic and no reports of issues with it in any of the cars it is installed on. TR-6060 > MT82.
  11. Not careless, makes things more interesting.
  12. 2013 CTS-V Wagon - I would give this car an A, one of the best handling cars I have driven. Turn in is sharp and crisp and it can take the toughest of turns effortlessly. 2009 Pontiac G8 GT - I give this car a B-. Handled great but could tell that it was more tuned for comfort than performance. After I added sway bars though I would bump the rating to a B+, still soft but the bars definitely helped keep the car flatter in the turns. 2006 Pontiac GTO - This car was a B, better feel than the G8, turn in was good but not great.
  13. Looks like it might be for an intercooler.
  14. In terms of cars, a 5" difference in wheel base, and a 3" difference in track is a pretty good size difference. Having owned a G8 GT (the 4000lb variety ) and sitting in and walking around an ATS there is a big difference in size. Not trying to argue but to say that the projected sizing of the new GN will be similar to the G8 is just a false statement all around. The G8 is just a BIG car inside out, and honestly I loved the extra size of it and would gladly take the weight penalty for more space. Just made the car ride better and more comfortable on longer trips. To sum it up G8 = Full size ATS/new GN = mid-size
  15. Article said it will be built on the Alpha platform which is what the ATS is built on. The ATS weighs in at 3300 with the 3.6, the G8 weighed in at nearly 4000lbs this car will be a lot lighter than the G8 was and with the added turbos and such I would expect it to weigh less than 3500.
  16. Our only hope now is Dec 21, 2012.
  17. Smaller size I get, releasing it with 2 year old technology when you are supposed to be the "innovator" in the segment I do not. Even the fanboy's should see this for what it is, a cashgrab from the ignorant hordes that worship Apple. Just to release the new "improved" version 6 months later, which will only have a better screen and internals like this one should have had.
  18. So to settle a debate on some other boards, can a GM tech see if the ECM has been altered/flashed by a program like HP Tuners then flashed back to a stock tune?
  19. CTS-V suspension/chassis is completely different from the GTO. The G8's suspension/chassis is closer to the 2010+ Camaro. Having owned a GTO, G8 and now a V2 CTS-V, the V is way ahead of the G8 in terms of handling and ride. The G8 was light years ahead of the GTO.
  20. Quite possibly since most solder does indeed contain lead. LOL
  21. Why don't you come see me instead?
  22. Let me break it in first and I will take a shot at your "Beetle" Thanks for all the replies this car is absolutely amazing in all aspects.
  23. However, it does run and move under its own power, is certified by the EPA, and does live up to it's claims. I present the "V" http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w117/blackbuick1987/IMG_20120910_174036_zps4d48bbfa.jpg http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w117/blackbuick1987/IMG_20120910_174847_zps72dd3a45.jpg http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w117/blackbuick1987/IMG_20120910_174900_zpse0f6f234.jpg http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w117/blackbuick1987/V-Wheel_zps64107ef4.jpg Not the greatest of all pictures but I will get some better ones soon 2013 CTS-V Wagon, Black Diamond, Satin Granite Wheels, 6M, roof.

This car is screaming for a LQ4 swap!
