Worked with a couple of "island boys" at one of my previous bases, don't take the words "in a minute" to seriously.

not to mention how much cooler the charge is going to be without all that underhood heat built up

T-Type = GN drivetrain + any color you could get a Regal in. GN = Black.

In my opinion Tony has 2 rings, he built that team in Tampa Bay and basically handed a Super Bowl to Groden. Not saying Bilicheck isn't a great coach, however his lack of professionalism, and overall rudeness towards people just rubs me the wrong way. To me he is not a class act, like Tony Dungy is. Moss has a bad attitude and your dumb is you don't see it. He had it back in Minnesota and bitched till Daunte got traded, then left himself. Goes to the Raiders and does nothing and bitches and complains there too. When Brady overlooks him a couple of times during the season and passes to someone else guess what is going to happen?

Blinded by your own ignorance huh? I will give you the nod on linebackers, but then again the Patriots had just about the same crew Peyton bitch slapped TWICE last year. Please Randy Moss? what a joke, Donte Stallworth? See Randy Moss. No depth on the Indy recieving core? I guess Dallas Clark, newly added Anthony Gonzalez (Brandon Stokely clone) Brian Utech is up and coming, and Aaron Moorehead don't account for much? Even though Dallas Clark caught more TD passes last year than that "All Star" Randy Moss, and he had Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison to compete with, who else was on the Raiders to be thrown too? Moss is washed up and will do more harm to the Pats than he will help them, Parcells thought he could control T.O and look what happened there, Bilibitch isn't half the diciplinarian that Parcells was and Moss has bigger attitude problems. Laurence Maroney? He had a decent rookie year I guess, but I wouldn't laugh at Joseph Adaii, he was the ONLY rookie to rush over 1,000 yards and he wasn't even the starting back Dominic Rhodes was. Not to bad for a rookie that was splitting carries on a PASSING OFFENSE. Not to mention how much of a recieving threat he is out of the back field, don't believe me, ask the Bears. Dede Dorsey I think will surprise a few people also, he ran pretty good against the Cowboys last week. Face it the Pats know the Colts have their number and went out and wasted a bunch of money on an attitude prone reciever, another injury prone reciever (Stallworth), and new linebackers to replace their old worn out ones (Bruschi was good but he is just above being washed up now, and Seau? HA HA HA, no comment needed) Peyton > Tom nuff said

If I wasn't all the way out here I would heavily consider it, I have about 20 acres of roaming room for her. Shame I did not live any closer, it has always been a dream of mine to have a wolf/husky mix. Good luck and hopefully you will find a good home for her.

I haven't bitched about 4 months. Only thing I get upset about is other branches bitch "oh the Air Force only does 4 months, blah, blah, blah". Well yeah dumbass, thats how long our planes are there. We are there to support the planes, well used to be anyway. Now some of our career fields, mine included, are picking up the slack that the Army can't handle, like convoys. Not that the Army isn't capable, but they are spread too thin. So be thankful that the Air Force is stepping out of THIER responsibility to help you guys out, otherwise your 12-15 month tours over there would seem SHORT.

We are different creatures, and all the Chow Hall food is the exact same everywhere you go (Air Force bases anyway) it is all about how they prepare the food though. In Korea the main Chow Hall SUCKED!! really really bad, but on the other side of base the flight line chow hall was awesome, same food just prepared better. Honestly though the best food I had was in Basic Training, everything after that just doesn't compare. Navy food sucks giant donkey balls, I ate salads everyday when I was stationed at a Navy base for 3 months. Salads were the only thing they could not screw up! They screwed up RICE for crying out loud, freaking RICE!!

^^^ I have seen that situation all to many times in the Air Force. Some have good expieriences some have bad. It's all about what YOU make it though. Nobody but you is incharge of your career, just some have to work harder at it than others. Sucks about your buddies being kicked out, but I myself am getting ready to boot someone who is constantly late, if this had been a real job he would have been fired a long time ago, but the Air Force does give you chances, chances to excell, and chances to fail. It is ALL ON YOU!

Insurance is the biggest scam they got going. Pay for nothing but when you need them they raise the price on ya for using their services!

Got-Busa how many years you got in the Air Force? I just passed 5 years and I agree the way it is changing and such, I don't know if I want to stay in and deal with the constant BS. As Busa said what is you AFSC (job) going to be? Some work harder than others and deal with alot less BS, honestly I think the finance and personnel people have it made everyone knows they mess everything up so they aren't even expected to do their jobs. SAVE EVERY PIECE OF PAPER CONCERNING YOUR CAREER, THEY WILL LOSE IT AND YOU WILL BE S.O.L!!! Pay is all about what you have going out, yes that $900 is yours to spend but cable, cell phone, car payment, insurance, ect. all adds up very quickly. My advise get a cheap beater car that is paid off and cheap on insurance. Get a pre-paid cell phone or a cheap plan (home phone is worthless in the dorms but you will need a phone for recalls). Get the GI Bill and TSP as said earlier, and save what you can. Or you can be the cool guy in the dorms with a brand new car, expensive phone, awesome home theatre for your 10x10 room, and also your the guy that has to beg for rides because he can't afford to put gas in his new car, lives paycheck to paycheck racking up debt on his Star card until the next payday, ect. The military is all about what you make of it, but there is some good advice being thrown out from those that have gone through it already. I have seen the guy that saves everything and gets out after 4 years with a nice nest-egg and college under his belt ready to be successful. I have also seen the guy that buys a brand new Corvette but can't drive it because he can't afford the gas or the insurance and is so far in debt that his commander kicks him out and he is screwed, the choice is yours. Almost forgot: Yes you don't really pay for the dorms or the chow hall (DFAC?? Sorry Services its the damn Chow Hall!!) However you also don't get paid BAH and BAS, because that is what is paying for your dorm room, and chow hall. The $251 (or whatever it is now) for your BAS is what goes towards your trips to the chow hall, and that BAH that your entitled is what is paying your dorm room (BAH is variable by location and rank). So in reality you do pay for it but you don't actually see the money. Also I can assure you that you won't eat at the chow hall every meal, but you still won't see any of that BAS if you choose to eat at Mcdonalds or Burger King that comes out of your pocket, another thing that chips away at the $900 for you.

CR is a small glimer of what it used to be Old School CR > Current CR. 2002-2003 where the best years.

Joe I hope you never breed, one of you is enough. For the record I would never bring my 3 month old son out to a car meet. However at 3 years I would consider it, but highly doubt it.

Just busting your chops, I see these things have a gore-tex liner in them though. All I know is my boost keep my feet nice a toasty and probably have half the insulation that these do, and I wear the proper boot socks to keep my feet dry. In the winter I double up with thin moisture removing sock liners. Just to let you know, the winters here in South Dakota are pretty harsh, may not get a whole lotta snow, but -10 thru -30 temps plus whatever wind chill we may get on that day, and this place gets WINDY, I think we had near -40 or so windchills on numerous occasions.
-
Nope sorry the warmest boots ever are my Gore-Tex lined combat boots, my feet sweat in -10* weather in those things.

That and the reserves can rank really fast if all the pieces fall into place. Unlike the slow process of ranking up in the Active Duty side.

Vehicle Maintenance Tech. for the US Air Force. Currently NCOIC of Material Control section managing the largest HAZMAT account for Ellsworth AFB. I also manage our tool crib and everyone's tool boxes. On slow days I also order parts and supplies, in my regular job I am a grease monkey when I am not training the other grease monkeys.
