Well aren't you an excitingly helpful idiot? Now, why ever ask a question on any forum when Google can do it all for us?

Is Peirce an American Citizen?
-
Then obviously 2 things: 1) Intruder would have karate chopped him from behind, took his gun, and then shot him and he'd still be dead. 2) He'd shoot intruder, miss, go through wall, hit bus full of new borns and blow up entire city because RPG.

He did a good job of not letting Pierce not steer the debate, but yah the yelling wasn't helping. Don't know about a 200 year setback though As for Pierce saying what he wants. Sure, go ahead, that's his right. However, to enact upon something like that, such as fienstein introducing new bans, is an act of treason and tyranny. Fuckers like that need hung on the Capitals steps.

And bench racing his gun based on internet articles.

Couple Marlin .22's on left. One with cheap scope. 91/30 38 44 Garand Carbine Mid length AR on bench. No idea what I want to do with it. Pretty much factory for now. http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/D94R/Guns/2011-11-17_14-33-13_375.jpg I did put a pokey thingy on it. http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/D94R/Guns/IMG_0189.jpg Couple HRA's and Inlands. http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/D94R/Guns/IMGP1800.jpg

Well, he has to relate to the group he's posing his thoughts to. Anyone progun is already pretty much going to agree with him. He's just catering to his target audience (you know, the "OMG we can't force every teacher to have guns now, think of all the childrens blood that will be spilled when a bully beats up the teacher, takes the gun, and goes on a rampage mowing down everyone one in sight with those 100 round assault muskets") by using the same hyperbole and sensationalism they would. Hopefully baiting them with their own tactics draws them into the convo. Otherwise they typically glass over when presented with facts and retort with "well, guns are bad, they should all be banned". I work with just such a numbskull, it's an exercise in futility trying to teach him anything. BTW, I know Larry. Took his CCW class. He is such a wealth of knowledge and able to articulate just about anything gun related in a sense that you are drawn in regardless of your opinions.

This guy? I don't see .25MOA out of this, certainly not at 200yrds. The dots themselves have to be atleast .25MOA (and I'd bet more like .5MOA) at 200yrds. Something is afoul. I can believe from 200ft though. Walmart scope, porch post rest, stock gritty trigger, factory Rem rounds = .25MOA.... I'm calling someone is a little over zealous with their yardage.

You a member of a credit union? What are their rates for loans or to refi your car? (I assume that is your plan?) My credit union is doing cars 03 and newer at 1.99% right now for 60 months. Im in Utah, so its not gonna apply to you, but what are they offering around your area? EDIT: Well, their site will make a liar out of me, as they jumped to 2.69%, but was 1.99% last weekend. Heres their site so I don't look like I'm lying

I'm a member of M1911 forum and 1911 forums, and don't recall reading about regularly failing MIM parts in RIA's. Sure, parts are gonna fail, in any gun. But then again some of the $1000+ manufacturers don't have such great track records with quality either based on forum readings. So it's all gotta be taken with a grain of salt. FWIW, I also have Colt and STI in my safe, so I don't buy junk. But I don't dismiss a gun on price alone.
-
I disagree, read up on some of the 1911 forums and find out which brands have the quality and the price tag. Someone mentioned RIA, and you won't find a better 1911 at those price points brand new. Armscor puts out some really good 1911's and parts (used by other reputable 1911 manfacturers).

The pussification of America, lack of discipline, zero-tolerance, and the "it's not my responsibility" mentality are the pitfall of modern society.

It's a natural thing the body does during or after physical activity. Not sure if it's a stress reliever or anxiety from long bouts of exercise or what. I'm sure there is a medical name for it, but I don't care to find it. I have a coworker who runs marathons and says it's a problem for a lot of people, and I've been to the cross training store where they sell tons of stuff to settle your bowels while running for long distances.

Our system uses carbon for the filter element, and regenerates every 1800 gallons I think it is. Different systems will have different efficiency levels, so yours may require regen more often. But if you can control the regen cycle, up it by a few hundred gallons and see if you can tell a difference in the water (before it regens). If you can't, increase it a bit more. If you can, then decrease the regen point. Our system is retardedly bad ass, and there is only two of us in the house, so that plays a huge roll. But using a bag of salt every two days just seems like a lot. ETA: Being a new or old system shouldn't really matter as long as it's operating properly. The set regen period is going to be the biggest factor in how fast the brine is pumped through the filter tank. So the one you guys leased was probably set to regen too often as well.

Nice setup. I really need to get back into it. I have all hardware needed, but haven't had the time to get at it.
-
Not to get too far off track from the real question, but... That sounds like a lot. How big is your softener setup? Our city's water is from an aquifer that is pretty much pumped straight to the houses without any treatment, and its harder than hell and pretty nasty (compared to normal city water). Our filter/softener setup is top of the line, but we only go through about 2 bags of salt a month. In other words, you might be regenerating your system too much... maybe.

You wear your seat belt every where you drive? I do, but am not expecting to ever be in a crash. Shit happens though. If you don't wear your seat belt, then you wouldn't understand anyhow.

Olympic Luger Dies After Crash During Training Run

Over lap the last foot traveling away from the rider. It should flex both pieces and allow non intrusive sliding along the panels... in theory. -
People that took the carry class with me.
RangerTurbo replied to Hwilli1647545487's topic in Dumpster
Yup, Utah will get you just about every state that issues CCW, we have some of the most lax "requirements" to CC. Which means we we'll accept most other states... but aren't accepted by everyone else unfortunately (Cali and Nevada can suck it anyways) -
What I'd do though is get leave the situation. Don't let your machismo or ego get in the way of your logical and rational thinking. Taking a car vs. potentially taking a life. It's kind of a no brainer to just walk away. They can't be around that car 24x7. The gun isn't on you as a persuasive device against someone else. It's there for your protection, in the event you find yourself in circumstance you can't get out of and you're down to your last option. There may not be a duty to retreat, but you can not use your weapon because you create a situation where someone turns violent to you and you can avoid it.
-
To all the people in this thread that said they would immediately go to their gun (after they ducked behind their car, building, etc) I hope you like jail. You would have fucked up the escalation-of-force chain so bad the prosecuting attorney would have a field day with your case. Oh, and a warning shot??!? Give me a fucking break.

I live in Utah... far enough? Who do you need killed? I can do the travel just fine, but will need payed in small unmarked bills and have my per Diem in cash up front through snail mail sent to a PO box registered to Cash; non traceable. 75% of contract pay up front, 25% on completion. I can take care of alibi and location documentation on my end.
