So, I missed the last season(s) and totally missed what caused the split up? Anyone care to shed the light on that one? I've been watching it lately hoping they'd explain or flash back to what happened, but nothing. Just showing the new shop with the new people and the new way of making the bikes (which I agree to previous post's about that not being the same as the old seasons). I can't stand though that they devote half the episode to Paul Jr's designs. It's not fucking "Pauly Home-maker Designs", its American Chopper. I don't like how Discovery has changed it's platform to incorporate both business's. Drama brings viewers though, so maybe it's their way of keeping the original drama from the original seasons alive, even though it doesn't intermingle on camera anymore. I'll be sad to see the show go as I loved to watch it. But it's just not the same show anymore.

Orly? Do I know you????

You are assuming of course the armed forces would comply with what the government tells them to do rather than uphold what they swore to do. I don't know a single enlisted man/woman who would obey their governments orders to act upon their countries own citizens. (though the whole recent Katrina thing was a brown mark on the National Guards record, one which I think they learned heavily from) ***EDIT: I guess Kent State is a bad example too. Maybe small groups of soldiers would indeed just follow orders instead of follow oath. I'm not saying there aren't a few people in the forces who wouldn't relish in supreme power, but I just don't think the numbers are there for the government to over run us with "their"technology.

Nice purchase. My wife has the same. Only problem we've ran into thus far is the slide fails to lock back on the factory extended capacity mag. Other than that it's been good.

Still 4 door, still no care. 4 doors ruined the Nova name, and now the Charger.

Random location to ask since there are a billion possibilities to chose from. But no, I did not go to Delaware.

I consider myself to be "casual" as I only get out to shoot maybe a few times a year, but when I do, I concentrate very hard on what I'm doing instead of just lobbing lead down range. Yes its fun to just go out and shoot to relieve stress and relax, but it's not helping learn anything, or correct any issues you might have with your setup. Here, just so I'm not blowing smoke up everyone's ass, here's three targets I shot a year ago with my STI Spartan from 21ft. First time out with the 1911, ever. As you can see, even I have a tendency to pull down to the left when shooting ( I need to work on that, but the grouping is what I was mainly working on that day). If you're just starting out with a gun, then work on groupings from a closer distance, then learn your site offsets and adjust from there, then move out farther. The three errant holes are from my wife and her 9mm. My group though is 7+1 touching one another traveling towards the 10 ring. http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/D94R/Guns/target2.jpg One out of the black, in the 6 ring. http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/D94R/Guns/target1.jpg All but one in a cluster. That other little guy, I wouldn't worry about that little guy. http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/D94R/Guns/target3.jpg I'm not claiming I'm an expert, as I'm far from coming close to that as I don't put in the required time. I do however make full use of the limited time I do have. Like I said before, under high duress, stress, confusion, and quick movements, those groups are going to open up tremendously. I don't want to hope that 1 or 2 of my shots will hit the intended target, I want to make sure all my shots hit the target.

Hate to be a thread dick, but based on that picture, you do need to practice a shit ton more. What were the run down of your setup to produce those results? (gun, ammo, stance, indoors/outdoors, slow fire, rapid fire, double taps etc etc) Honestly, you lack control of many things to have such a sporadic grouping (if it can be called that). At 25ft you should at the very least, be able to keep all rounds within the target, better if in the black. Sure that has a grouping of 8X11 inches, which would put all those rounds into a chest cavity, but add in pressure, adrenaline, speed, confusion etc in a defense situation and that grouping becomes the size of a sheet of plywood. Of course this is all relative and subjective to what one thinks is "just fine." I in no way would be happy at all with those results.

I'm not surprised. There were a few kids that went to my highschool that could qualify as this guy.

Not voting at all would be throwing your vote away. Voting libertarian because you don't like either leading candidates isn't throwing away anything. It's taking one more vote away from either candidate, and yet not giving it to either one at the same time. Does it really make a difference? Hasn't yet. Maybe someday though.

No shit, my house value the last two years has dropped, and yet my taxes went up... wtf. Oh, and you're being taxed, just in the form of a 90 bajillion dollar debt for the rest of the United States future.

I wonder how it would turn out setup as and HDR where you are only in one of the three shots taken. Of course you're still using photoshop to combine the three images, but you'd get the HDR effect and ghosting.

I have 4 within quick reach of me in my bedroom lol. If I move to any part of the house for more than a few seconds my main carry gun goes with me. You're relying on a gun, that you've never verified to be operational, to fully function in a critical time that could mean life or death? Not a cool plan Stan. Two totally different questions. But, yes on the first under certain circumstances. Yes on the second one under certain circumstances.

I freaking HATE the keyboard on the ERIS. Not because it needs calibrated, but because it's so damned slow to respond. I can type faster than it can keep up. So I'll have to pause and let it catch up, only to find I made a typing mistake, that the ERIS then decides to autofix it to some fucked up other word not even close to what I meant to type. Then, trying to place the cursor in the exact spot so I can backspace and correct the word is a PITA too at times. Next phone will definitely have a hardware keyboard. This way I can feel what buttons I'm hitting... so the word beer doesn't come out meer and the phone doesn't auto correct it to meek, week, or meet. The ERIS itself aside from that though is great.

You're not going to be able to control the expansion and contraction of the pavement, whether its concrete or asphalt, to keep the pipes from splitting. Not only is there expansion and contraction, but there is upheaval and sagging to contend with too. So you have movement in X, Y, and Z. You could, theoretically keep the road a constant temp through out the year. But you'd have to keep it at the highest temp the road will ever see to control the shifting. So based on location that could change a lot in a matter or yards (mountainous regions). Not only that... what's the cost in the winter time going to be to pump enough "geothermal" heat to keep the road at ~130*?

Droid question for the Verizon guys here

A) you have no idea whats going on in this thread? B) you didn't read anything and only felt like pimping what doesn't apply to this thread C) you're an idiot D) all the above? Which is it? -
You obviously didn't think this one through.

Well, when I say few hours it's really 6-8. There is a GPS killer app that kills wifi and GPS with one click, however it doesn't work on the Eris. I'll look into the app killer though, thanks.

How's everyones battery life with these type of phones? I bought my phone the day after Tgiving. With GPS and wireless off I can't get a full 24 hours out of my battery. With either of them on it's a matter of hours. Is that normal? My old phone, though not a smart phone, would last 3 or 4 days doing the same stuff that is killing my current battery in a day.

I pretty much have to agree with that. But its up to the OP. And carrying CC is better than no carry at all.

The foreign auto makers, for the most part, focused on a different point of small displacement and/or turbo charged engines. "Muscle" wasn't really it. Now makers like Audi had small engines that made some power, but not for the reason of having a muscle car.
-
Will.Never.Happen. They will never produce a car with smaller displacement that will make their stable cars (the GT/Cobras, SS's/Z28's) look silly in performance. Ford severly restrained the Fox SVO's because they didn't want the little 2.3T outperforming their beloved 5.0's. It sucks they don't do this type of development because they have a phallace complex. Just think were we could really be with small displacement and turbo's if they would have spent the last 20years focusing on that instead.
-
Ugh, Ecoboost doesn't imply its a small engine. It implies an engine with high displacement power and low displacement fuel economy. Now, you do have a 2.3 so I can see where your view is tainted :nutkick: But to put it into perspective, it's going to have the power of a V12 with V8 fuel economy.

That made me fucking LOL.

Unless you research really well and take a chance I did with my Summer Comfort after it was recommended to me and I researched it. I don't think I'll use a different IWB, atleast not for the XD. Yah, I'm not a fan of them either. To me they are like an Uncle Mikes... they just seem cheap. Now, my Serpa Blackhawk Lvl II is awesome. I've got it hung up on more things than I care to admit and its taking the beatings quite well. I did buy a Serpa for my 1911 too, but find I don't like the slide wear it creates on the Spartan. SO, chock that one into the pile of "holsters never to be used again."
