I'll second that, I bought a DSLR Pentax. ALL the same features (plus some) to a comparable Cannon, yet it was $300 cheaper. This really doesn't apply though since you're not spending that much coin, but Pentax has been around forever and has quality products for the price.

That's hogwash. Credit level is personal and should be kept as so. Credit can be ruined for thousands of reasons. If I were to lose my shorts in a divorce it in no way means I am not responsible, it's just the way the cards are dealt. Credit reports and SSN's these days are more public and required to be given then they really should be.

I could never understand what the fuck my credit has to do with someone giving me an insurance rate. I don't believe a high or low credit score would mean I drive safely or not. Unless they make the obscure correlation that better people tend to have better credit scores and tend to drive safer?

Wow, my new truck, full coverage, low deductibles only cost me $117 a month through State Farm. I've been with them since I was 16 so I get a discount for loyalty and a few other things, but I've also never had a problem getting damage fixed. Both times I hit a deer they told me to take it anywhere I pleased to have fixed and to have the bill sent to them no questions asked. The first deer did $2800 in damage to a $3500 truck (at the time). When I was side swiped all they asked was if I was cited or not, I told them the popo wrote the report as a no fault collision on both sides. They said OK and told me to go get it repaired by whom I wanted as well. No problems at all. My Fiance on the other hand pays $170 a month, but that drops down to $68 a month when we get married

(could have it professionally ported/polished for max flow like you wouldn't believe) Esslinger cam to match (2277 maybe and appropriate valve train) Stock block Aftermarket rods/pistons Stock 2.3 large main journal crank should be fine (they are good to ~700 HP) Aftermarket header (few choices out there, either log style or equal length header style) Big turbo (split scroll maybe with appropriate pared 1,3 2,4 header) FMIC (lots of good ones to choose from) Nitrous (150 shot for fun) LARGE injectors (maybe 150lb/hr for big HP)(or custom intake with two rails and 8 injectors) Meth injection Stock modified intakes or custom one off's 65mm throttle body Trans: Built C4 for consistancy and simplicity Rear end: 8.8 with spool Management: Megasquirt's are cheap and easy yada yada yada It could be done on the cheap or fairly expensive depending on who can make parts or who can get deals.

Dave has a chassis and capable engine already offered. A few grand (spent properly) and that car could be the cats ass and surprise alot of people. Honestly, why keep debating about the chassis since one is offered and its solid. You guys should start focusing on getting some shops to donate time/money/parts.

The 2.3T mustang is my vote, though I'm partial. The mustang is cliche, but the 2.3T in it would not be, and they can be built STRONG. This would be an easy kill as no one thinks the 2.3T can be fast. Huber put his *79 mustang* in the 8.90's with the 2.3T. Albiet his is an all purpose stroked race engine, still though, a stock block, aftermarket internals and head, kick ass header, huge turbo and standalone would get a gutted mustang into the 9's easily. *edited because I confused Morgans Focus with Hubers Stang*

Dunno, depends solely on driver. I saw a blown ~2003 Vette up at MCIR the last time I was there. It did a (no shit) 15.4 1/4 mile. You can't make that shit up. Dude bounced it off the limiter in first gear for about 3 seconds before he shifted, then bounced it off the limiter in second for about 3 seconds again. Finally caught 3rd about the 100ft mark and rode out the rest of the 1/4 mile okay for a forced Vette. I so wanted to run him heads up, but was in the middle of packing up to leave when he ran. He would have shit himself.

I saw an Orange one I think at Mid Ohio Raceway one year doing some on track obstacle races and shit. Blew a puff of black exhaust everytime he'd lift the throttle. Other than that it looked like it moved decently.
