It's Ok. Realize though, that just cause someone has a CCW doesn't mean they are now saints and will never, ever, get torqed about someone else's stupid actions. This also doesn't mean that because I have a gun I'm going to pull it out everytime something doesn't go my way. I had my CC with me that night, and not ONCE did the thought ever cross my mind to pull it out to use it as a scare tactic, that in itself is illegal too. Carrying a gun or not does not make the situation any different, unless you/someone uses info like that to twist a story and use it as another reason why guns should be illegal to carry. A liberal move. CC is not to flaunt it around to scare people because they get on my/someones bad side. Its there to protect me in the situation where my life becomes threatened. Had I not picked up she was following me, and I made it home only to see her creep by, you're damn right my thought process would have shifted and protecting myself/wife would become priority number one. This however doesn't mean I'm going to pull out the XD and point it at her while she's driving by.

I didn't instigate shit. I always love when people like you take the side of the dick hole drivers because you lump the whole story together. You really believe I instigated it by obeying the law while SHE was not yeilding, attempting to manuever into me, and driving on the shoulder? You're unreal, devil's advocate or not you have no idea what you're talking about. lol, it might have saved her money, I didn't gun the engine trying to keep up with traffic as it was a long line of traffic doing maybe 35mph at the time. She on the other had was doing some 'accelerate as fast as i can, slow down, then repeat' type shit. I'd only be worried had there been any other vehicles around to witness anything. She has no witness, no proof,... nothing. It would wind up being her word against mine. I wouldn't have any idea who this chick is or what she's talking about. Case thrown out. What part of someone intentionally following you home to do/plan God knows what doesn't meet your requirement? Soccer mom or not, who falls under your category? I don't stereotype anyone when it comes to someone putting my safety in question, they'll all be treated equal. I've often thought of that.

Shit happens, don't be one to cause anything and nothing happens.

I didn't chase her down because she was a bitch driver. I chased her down because she had the audacity to follow me to where I live. Try to keep up. After she had got behind me I didn't care any longer, even with her brights on. I simply flipped the mirror down. I didn't break check her, I didn't provoke her, I simply didn't care. Following me all the way home (almost 5 miles out of her intended way) is a NO NO. That is baring on intent and making me question my safety. Maybe she wouldn't have done anything, but who knows how stupid psycho her husband could have been and came back at a later date and retaliate. Cut the shit off at the pass and it becomes no more.

I still do the smile with a thumbs up, followed by a middle finger flip... usually. I react more on principle though sometimes, principle being be fucking patient like the rest of us.

If they are packing that makes two of us. I'm never without the XD-40 now

Hammer crack to the skull is just as good as beating the shit out of someone any day.

Mirroring hotrodmomma's thread. I got to thinking about a situation that happened to me the other night. And want to know how you all handle stuff like this. (Long story though) Coming home from work, approaching an intersection the road goes from one lane to two lanes. The intersection is kinda fucked up as once you go through the intersection, the non original lane abruptly ends. There is no merge section to come back into the original lane, it just stops at the intersection of a gas station. 99% of all people who take this road know so, and therefore stay in the original lane. However, there is the inevitable jack ass who will swing out into the second lane to pass the line of traffic, who have been patiently waiting at the light, in order to pass them all and then cut someone off and swing back into the original lane before they run off the road (well the shoulder anyhow). My situation was just that. Some dumb ass cunt an a minivan decided she was going to blow by all of us as we were going through the intersection. I was keeping no more than a car's distance between me and the car in front as I knew exactly what she was going to do. Predictably, she gets her driver door past my bumper and turns on her turn signal to come over in front of me.... .un uh, NOT going to happen. I patiently waited for 2 red lights to go through the intersection and in no way am I going to let her over. So whats she do? She starts to merge over. No biggie, with my lift and wider tires her body panels were going to become victims of a tire tagging long before she'd damage my truck. She realizes I'm not going to let her over by the time the lane ends and becomes nothing but a shoulder, so she starts to gun the van and try to get ahead of me to cut me off, still didn't work. I kept a cars distance still and there was no where for her to go. So this bitch ends up on the shoulder, still trying to get me to back off and let her merge. Finally she runs out of shoulder and has to concede and slows down to cut the guy off behind me and merge in. Inevitably she flips her brights on an rides my ass now the whole way to my city. (less than 3 miles from the intersection to city) She follows me into the main road, and I thought no biggie maybe she lived out there too. But when she started following me out the long desolate road to where my community is, and by this time its just me and her on the road, I thought something may be up, but by now she was keeping her distance. My turn comes up, and low and behold she follows. I know now she's following. Her van isnt recognizable, and my suspicions are confirmed when I do 2 loops around 2 seperate blocks. So, at the next intersection, I turn, slam the breaks, and hop out of the truck and stare at her. Now however, she just looks and drives straight through (I see her talking on the phone now to someone). Anyhow. At this point I'm hitting boiling point. Following me is not a good idea. I go around the block to confront her, and find that she has turned around in a drive way and headed back. I figured she was going to follow me home or something, but didn't give her the chance. Karma is a bitch and so I follow her. Just about end up back at the beginning of the city where I catch up to her at a stop sign. Pull up next to her and look over and yell "Think your funny following me whore?" Still talking on the phone she yells something and starts to look petrafied. I continue to yell if she thinks its funny and she screams "I'm going to report you." I about fell out of my perpetual chair thinking of what she just said. She tares off from the stop sign, as do I, only she does a screeching stop in the middle of the intersection (trying to shake me maybe?) Anyhow, I stop too, then she full throttle's the little van, all the while I'm staying right next to her scaring the shit out of her as she keeps repeating "I'm going to report you." Report me for what I have yet to figure out, she tried to hit me, she was the one who didn't yeild, she (originally) was the one who followed me... and yet I was going to get reported LOL at her. So anyhow, she does a jerking motion with her van like she was going to side swipe me. This is NO NO number 14 by now, and so I grab a metal bracket for my garage door (why it was in the cup holder I don't know) and wing it at her car. The passenger window spider webs and I see her let go of the wheel and cover her head. I think she thought I shot a gun at her. Then she lays the pedal to the floor and tears off in the 35mph zone at what had to be 60mph. At this point. My point was made. And turned around and headed back home. She didn't follow. I should have let it go, but NEVER FUCKING follow me home. Next time the semi auto will want to come out and play. Who here has had similar situations, and what have you done?

I get the most pissed when Im still in the car and the asshats do that shit. I was sitting in the wifes Jeep when a fat ass man got out of his car and slammed the door into her passenger door. I rolled down the window, yelled and told him to pay attention to what the fuck he was doing. He told me to "shut the fuck up kid" (I'm 23). He walked into the gas station, I got out, kicked his driver door in, then left. I would have loved to seen the look on his face when he came back out.

I inspect the area where their door would swing out and contact my vehicle. If no harm, then no foul, I simply drive off a little fumed that someone doesn't have the same mutual respect. Now, If its so close that I can't hardly squeeze between theirs and mine, then the game changes. I make sure my knife clip comes in complete contact with their paint. Fuck them, if they have to park so close, I can't be accountable for it. If I'm door dinged, I've done a fist print or foot stomp to their door before. Fist printing it hurts like a mother though.

Donato's fighting back?

Had he been getting car jacked, that would be a 'good shoot'. Unfortunately, he wasn't, it was just getting broke into. You have to avoid firing your weapon until you feel your life is in danger and you can prove/justify deadly force. All things aside, I'd have shot his knee out, then told the Cop he started to rush me when I approached him.

Airplane on a Conveyor Belt - Mythbusters Tonight!

All these big explanations, and the ones who can't figure it out simply can't distinguish ground speed from air speed. The plane needs air speed to take off, not ground. Thats all the more answer is ever needed, if you can't get that, I don't know how you've made it this far. -
CCW, you need one,... get one!

Could be, my version of limewire is about a year old. Nero was mentioned in this thread, and I can not, for any amount of trying, get Nero to work with my laptop. Any version I try will not work, even the latest.

I have no problems running limewire with Vista.

Oklahoma ticketing people who drive slow in the left lane!
RangerTurbo replied to DeathSandwich's topic in Passing Lane
I think you've got the wool pulled over your eyes. Railroads still hull *more product than semi's. Railroads even hull semi trailors, either in the form of road railers, piggy back, flat cars or various forms of intermodal transportation. *on top of using semi equipment to transport things over the railroad, railroads also deliver millions of tons a year of items that are not feasibly transported by semi, such as coal, gravel, wood, scrap metals, oil (fuel) etc etc -
Oklahoma ticketing people who drive slow in the left lane!

I used to hate Ohio driving as well. Until I drove across country to move to Utah. Ohio by far is nothing compared to this fucking idiots in Utah. I'd have to say though that the state that follows the left lane rule the best, is Indiana. -
Thanks for the info Clark.

Please elaborate.

Out here (Utah) Gunnies was out of 'cheaper' .40 ammo, and Cabela's has a %40 markup on all ammo over what you would find it elsewhere, so I was stuck to buying what WalMart had in stock the other day. 100ct 165grain Winchester. $21. Good enough for shooting at shit with.

I have a feeling I'm going to be spending a lot of money in ammo for this thing. I just love shooting it.

Ehh, my wife signed up for bridal gown stuff online and was douped into one of those "free vacation" deals. We had to go sit through a time share presentation. After which they did pressure into buying their time share. BUT, it was not required in order to receive their vacation offer. We did however have to pay tax on the air fare (fair enough), the rest was comped as their 'gift'. All in all I wouldn't sit through another one of those boring ass presentations again just to get a free vacation unless it was someplace super nice. But we did enjoy our free 3 day weekend in SanDiego.

Thread revival. I decided against the Glock after all. Nothing about it I didn't like, I simply found a different gun new, for what I was finding used Glocks for. Springfield XD-40. Fired 55 rounds through it the day after I bought it and love the feel of it. I have previously fired an HK .40 a few days before and it sealed the deal with buying a .40 cal hand gun. Almost no 'felt' recoil on the HK, slightly more on the XD I bought, but after a few magazines I wasn't feeling it anymore. Gun is freaking simple to take apart with really only 4 'serviceable' pieces. Not sure if that is a good thing or bad thing though. Anyhow, for the first time really ever getting to 'know' a hand gun I was popping a 2 liter bottle from 40 yards. Misses were by mere inches, contributed to me still learning the feel for the gun. http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/D94R/Guns/IMGP1316.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/D94R/Guns/IMGP1315.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/D94R/Guns/IMGP1314.jpg
