  1. I got speedways' 92 only cause I needed smokes and they have the cheapest one out there
  2. I was driving around town tonight and needed gas so I filled up. I bought 92 which should be good for the car as it was tuned on 91. About three miles down the road, the car started acting really funny. It wouldn't got above 1,300RPMS without it cutting up or backfiring. I have never had these problems before but the tow truck driver said that there has been some bad gas stations who water their gas down. Does this sound like the case? Any help would be great, thanks!
  3. Some people are just plain scum and unfortunately this guy crossed paths with two of them....
  4. I have to agree on that, but I was just curious to see what his combination was so I could see where he was at in comparison to my setup... I don't doubt his numbers as my setup is smog legal. I am still running my cats as well as all the other smog equipment... I'm not jealuos or anything as I stated I am not bashing, just curious....
  5. I'm not trying to bash here, just trying to figure out why you are making so much more HP. Its a conservative tune, but not that conservative...
  6. What are his engine specs? 306, 347... I was pulling 330 something with the 9 pound pulley...
  7. How much boost are you going to run on it?
  8. Those numbers seem a little high for nine pounds of boost... What was your A/F ratio and what size injectors are you running... 500 HP is pushing it for a stock block you know... should have gone with a Mexican, Boss or even a Dart block... Do you have your dyno sheet?
  9. You change your mind about that intake yet?
  10. Let me know if you change your mind...
  11. How much does a typical job cost for a laser red paint job. Original color is Laser red?
  12. You wanna sell/trade that intake, I have a edlebrock performer or a FMS Cobra intake that would bolt right to that lower... Let me know...

  15. I'm not 100% sure when he is going to do his swap, well buy this parts I should say... I have to move back up to Ohio too!!! Hopefully by the 26th I'll be outta Georgia!
  16. My girlfriends father is going to be doing a H/C/I combo on his 1979 Vette... Do you need to index the cam? He is going to get the H/C/I Power Pack from Jegs. I am just curious if cam indexing is truely needed... Thanks....
  17. Thats the way DAS is set-up, they want and extra $350 to do door to door!!!
  18. I didn't even think to look at FedEx. I thought they only shipped letters and small packages (and and occassional whale shark or two!). I'll remeber that next time I need a shipping company...
  19. About a month ago, I stumbled across a nice Mustang on Corral.net. I talked with the gentleman for over 4 hours on the phone about the car the first night. He provided every receipt for just about every part on the car as well as hundreds of pictures ranging from the engine build to the first day he got the car. So we came to an agreement to ship the car to Ohio from California and I would do my inspections and test drive etc. If everything was there like he stated, I would tell the escrow company we made arrangements with to release the money to him. I had to find a shipping company that wasn't some fly by night group. So I researched around for a while and E-Bay recommends DAS Auto Shippers on their web site for shipping cars/motorcycles. I was in touch with them and had arrangements set up for the seller to drop the car off and DAS would handle the rest. However, little did DAS know, the seller took shots of the cars tires, mileage, and body before he dropped the car off.... To make a long story short here, I paid $650 plus $200 in extra insurances for the car to be shipped for Torrance, California to Dayton, Ohio. I go to pick the car up (mind you this is when it was snowing like crazy) and the guy never once went out to inspect the car with me, he told me to sign the doc sheet and he handed me the keys. I get to the car and look it over as best as I could see with the snow and all. I get in the car to start it up and let it idle before test driving it. Turned on then died, did this four times before I realized "NO GAS" I was like "WTF" should have had a half tank when dropped off! So I go back in and ask the guy why it didn't have any gas in it, he was oblivious, like he was stoned or something. I got gas and was totally ticked off and frozen so I got in drove it home and was shocked when I got home... Some time during shipping, someone took the liberty to burn up a new set of Khumos that were just put on the car before shipping. I was so mad already that I was going to go off on someone. I called DAS and they sent a claim form out to me. I filled it out and sent it in right back to them with all the pictures I was given from the seller the day he shipped it and the receipt for the brand new tires that were $389 for two. Weeks past without anything... Then finally last week, someone who I wont name from DAS called and said the claim was denied all because I didn't note the damage on the bill of laden (this is why that stoner told me to sign the docs before I was given the keys). So now I am out another $389 for two more new tires. Like the only saying goes I guess, "You get what you pay for!" Well, that cannot be truer as I have found out the hard way. All total, I spent over $1100 to ship a car coast to coast. DAS has a bad reputation for things like this happening to customer's cars. I am finding this out more and more as I am posting this thread on various web-sites to forewarn people of DAS's un-professional shipping methods. DAS may be cheap to use, but they always come out on top and in my case, they cost me undue stress, aggravations, and money!!! Never again will I trust any of my cars with DAS Autos. They lack the desire to treat the people and the peoples' merchandise with the respect they deserve. DAS Auto is terrible F- for them!!!!!!
  20. Looking to by a car and the guy said it has 33,000 miles on it and just need to see if it was a role back or possibly a salvaged junker. Thanks in advance. Joey My e-mail is Baschie316@cs.com Forgot the vin#1FALP42T3SF175954
  21. CarMax is a joke. I was selling a car to them and everything went well untill they checked the title. It had a salvage tiltle on it and their first offer was $1200 it magically dropped to $125. They said that no one wants a salvaged car. I beg to differ, I sold it that same day three hours later. I informed them of the title and they said it was for their young teen anyways! Try them and see, but more than likely they will try to nickle and dime you...
  22. Car still for sale? I talked with you a long time ago when you had it on ebay. I've got $6,250 cash and I'll be there this weekend!
