My sister-in-law recently had a baby and they replaced her 2006 Saturn Ion Coupe 2 (5 spd) with a 2012 Kia Sorento. Now they're debating about just selling it to Carmax (appraisal yet to happen) or sell it outright. After doing some search, we're seeing prices for these cars all over the board. There's no issues with the car other than the lower control arm bushings are worn out ($40 in parts), so she's really not sure what to accept from Carmax or price the car at. Any estimates as to what would be a fair price to ask for the car? Silver car, 128k miles, 5 spd, pwr locks, windows, mirrors, cruise, wheels covers. Thanks fellas.

Alum Creek has a wednesday night sailboat racing league in the summer that you can pretty much show up for and ask to crew on someone's boat, and they'll let you on. I crewed on a friend's Catalina 22 for a couple seasons before he moved out of state. That is a great boat and can be had or little money, but like any boat, there is a lot to maintain.

The only worthwhile mod for th 4th gen maxima is to swap a 5.5th gen maxima engine (3.5L) and completely gut the car. I've owned my car for 10 years and have been an avid maxima member/moderator on maxima.org since '03 and it's really not worth putting anything into these cars unless you're going to go all out and either do a turbo setup or 3.5L swap.
