I really had high hopes of going with Chad to have him help me with my electrical work in my garage, but after the initial visit, and a couple of texts and pm's that were not responded to, I'm still looking at having the work done. Chad is a really nice, friendly guy and at the time, he was going through a transition with work, so that's probably why our scheduling was difficult. Hopefully we can still work something out though because he's really easy to get along with.

Got the alternator all swapped out, but the oil cooler line that was VERY badly corroded and broke in my hand is keeping me from being able to test everything. Off to Nissan in the AM.

I was heading to lunch today and when I started my car at work, I noticed a mid-range whining noise. Very shortly after, I noticed an electronic burning smell coming through the vents into the car. I quickly turned the engine off. Had a coworker come out with me to check it out. He was looking under the hood while I restarted the engine. After about 30 seconds he urged me to turn the car off. He informed me that he saw what appeared to be flames/fire coming out of the alternator. I had the car towed home and picked up a new alternator and belt at O'reilly's which will be installed this weekend. Hopefully this will fix the issue.

The fact that the people in the video are laughing the entire time is almost as disturbing (maybe more so) as the content of the video.

The trial is over. The young man did not look at the family, offer an apology, or show any remorse (I assume on the advice of counsel). I have been told that the very-busy courtroom grew completely silent when my brother in law read his statement. Lots of tears from family and even strangers. Suspended jail sentence, small fine, and suspended license. Probation.
