  1. Well you only need to go raised deck if you go abouve a 3.75 stroke, you could still make a 409 out of it assuming you had a block that could take a 4.165 bore.
  2. either way, assuming its a 350 block, it could be as big as 482ci... so a picture doesnt really tell you much.
  3. yea, old 6.6L found in the T/A's... an General Motors engine, is considered to be a SBC or BBC... it just makes it easier.
  4. Yes it could be a 400, or even 355... but 400 blocks that are useable are becoming few and ar between, so CHANCES are, its not one of those. It could be a 355, but if you build it up over 400 you have to machine holes between the cylinders to vent steam, just like the factory 400's had... so why waist time doing that? Thus, I assume that its someone who knows what theyre doing, and has exceded the 400ci mark, and went with the better platform, the 350.
  5. if shes under 20, i dont even look
  6. I was talking to one of my drivers the other day and we got into a conversation about actors and who we think are really good and who are terrible so on and so forth. Then we got into how do classify an actor as a good one. We agreed that the best actors, have the best movie monolouges, not just in the content, but the ability for you to instantly remember the scene no matter how long ago it was that you saw it. My personal opinion, the 5 best are: 1. Robert Shaw - Jaws - USS Indianapolis story 2. Hugo Weaving - The Matrix (Reloaded)(Revolutions) 3. Kevin Costner - JFK - courtroom 4. Tom Hanks - Saving Private Ryan - "Im a school teacher" 5. Jack Nicholason - A Few Good Men - "You can't handel the truth!"
  7. well, its a 350 block, but theres a lot you can do to a 350 block lol
  8. someone did a F-body SBC swap.... WOW!
  9. ok... lets pay attention... it doesnt cost eight million dollors to produce this car should there be more of them, they SPENT eight million DEVELOPING the car... Whats included in developement?... mostly, time. LOTS of time, of LOTS of people who work for MAYBACH who have HUGE salaries. Think about all the time spent in CAD programs, mach ups, art work for bodylines, clay models, business lunches and meetings in different contries that require pricy European plane tickets, etc, etc, etc.... I bet it cost about 100K to make, but because theres only 1 car, they can claim that it took 8 million dollars, to put the car from an idea to reality.
  10. found it... i knew id heard that motor somewhere before. http://videos.streetfire.net/search/Corvette/10/509570ba-d33f-4225-ad0b-98310120bbdf.htm

  15. One of my buddies, Chris Larkin, is holding an Amature MMA event, and has asked me to be in one of the fights. Im not sure of the location or the time, but if i can manage to get out of work, i plan on fighting. From what i understand, i have about 3 inches, 20lbs, and roughly 5" of reach on this guy... and hes like 39... should be interseting He also told me that unfortunatly, the rules restrict the use of elbows and kicks to the head/face, both standing up, and on the ground... i think knees are still allowed though. If anyone is interested in coming, i may be able to snag some tickets at a discounted price, but no promises. More info to come. -Nick EDIT* 2-8-07 HERES THE ACTUAL ADD FOR THE EVENT http://www.blackdragonmartialarts.com/resources/NightofChampionsfront.jpg Im still working on seeing if i can get a few tickets a bit cheaper... either way, its not bad pricing. From what im told, there will be 18 fights, including 5 title fights. I dont know the order, but the event is supposed to run roughly 2hrs. Im still talking to Chris about the details, but i will keep updating the thread as such. If anyone is interested in visiting the site of their gym, have at it. http://www.blackdragonmartialarts.com - Nick EDIT* 2-11-07 Turns out, i cant get tickets at a discounted price. I thought I might be able to snag a few, but that turned out to be a flop. I do know that a lot of people want to come watch me, i think in hopes they get to see me catch a beating... but thats not going to happen Anyone who comes out, ill buy a drink afterwards... and yes, Brian i know i still owe you one from a bout 2yrs ago @ Applebees
  16. I thought it was very interesting. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5896048467372201322
  17. uh... you do realize that what you said, makes no sence. Lets think here... what is horsepower... oh i know, its TORQUE x (X)RPM/5252. So does that mean horsepower is a force? NO, its a unit of measurement pertaining to WORK, along with PS, Watts, Newtons, etc. Torque is the measurement of force that drives a rotational motion... you know, the kind that makes the crank turn IN A CIRCLE and eventually drives the wheel(s) IN A CIRCLE TO PUSH YOU FORWARD AT AN INCREASINGLY HIGHER RATE. Seriously, go fill the bath tub, and have someone hold your head under untill the bubbles stop.
  18. I know i didnt get a cell phone untill i was almost 17 and I had had a job for more than a year, saving half of every pay check. I did well in school, and never got into any real trouble so my mom picked up the measly $20 bill... but the use was only to call her or my dad. I didnt start using it for everything untill i was 19 and in college, 100 miles away from home.
  19. wow thats one of the first videos i ever watched on the internet... seriously. Officer Frank Cessara in his fully loaded 5.0 Mustang, made jackasses with Mustangs all over the country dream up of retarded catch phrases like... "FIVE-OH BITCH!" Reminds me of the guy in the IROC that says evertime he gets pulled over, he revs it up to about 5000 rpm, just to let the cop know that he could have gotten away if he really wanted to
