i hate cheap stuff. I like custom everything. Ive got some designs for manifolds i need for my race engine... can you guys build from basic plans? The intake mani has to be made from square/rectangular (round edge) aluminum tubing. Exhaust can be from SS.

the teacher would have also givin a punishment with that warning. I would either do it or not depending on not how much trouble i would get in at school, but how pissed my parents would be.

B16A1 B16A2 B16A3 are all pretty much the same... they have suttle differences but more or less the same. The B16A2's are from the 99-00 Civic Si. The B16A3's are from highend Del Sol's. The B16A1 i THINK came from old civic HB's... but im not for sure. Out of all of them, the B16A1 has the best head. Its more or less a B18C5 casting. If you P&P, mill it .040, and put in bigger valves... it is basicaly a ITR head. For the blocks id assume the B16A2 was the best but im not for sure. I havent played with too many B16's so my knowledge is limited.

Theres a down grading hill right before exit 94... Ive been nailed there TWICE by choppers. You get to that hill, slow down. They usually have a trooper sitting at the bottom around the bend waiting for you.

Heres the one that gets me the most. "Thats it... TIME OUT!" graemlins/gives.gifgraemlins/jerkit.gifgraemlins/bsflag.gif Dude, when i did something stupid... my dad swatted my ass with a belt or a wooden paddel-ball paddel. One time he broke the padel on my ass... i didnt feel it really. The next day, he brought home a plastic one with a picture of a big bald eagle on it. He always used to say, "If your bad, the eagle's gonna bite ya." I was bad ONE time, ONE TIME! after that. That bitch hurt and i didnt need to know it a second time. I always say, if you fuck up, youll be delt with swiftly, and severely. Ill do the same to my kids, no matter waht any stupidass nosey neighbor has to say about it. Kids get off waaay to easy these days. I learned the hard way... and in turn, i stayed out of trouble as a teenager. Thus, i got special privliges like no curfew, taking ski trips, shooting guns, and pretty much doing what i wanted when i wanted. I wouldnt trust anyone under the age of 16 to know how serious handeling firearms is. With all the school shootings and threats on neighborhood streets, its amazing ive been able to keep myself from putting foot to ass to all those little punks. AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!! THIS PISSES ME OFF!!!! graemlins/doh.gifgraemlins/doh.gifgraemlins/doh.gif

heres a short clip of that BB CRX... (right click, save as) www.mrmeanrracing.com/vids/44.mpg

Bad example using cheesefrog. That car is what you call a "sucker-fucker". Its got more garage engineering and tuning in it than most cars have coming from the factory. You could shell out a CRX and have an extremely light car. Now the nice thing about that is that you dont need much power for it to be quick. You could run 15in of pressure through a T3 super60 and still make 230-250bhp... enough for some 13 sec or better ETs.

Im the only one with enough nutz to race a Z24 anyway so its not hard to miss me. I went to every event up to the Mothers Day Challenge... my mom drove up to Dayton to see me race since i decided it was more important than going down to Cincinnati to see her tongue.gif Her and my step dad were both awe-struck... they had no idea what i was doing and were just like "holy crap!". Me and my Mom http://www.mrmeanrracing.com/pics/ax7.jpg

Really? What car and class? Im sure id remeber ya. I watch everyone when i go... i like to see other peoples lines.
-
Its starting to look like a ferrari... i think they need to take it back to the late model C4 look. Or even the GS/GTS style. Those were some nice looking cars. I like them and all, but the new ones look too much like toys and not like monsters.
-
Not alone. I helped out with one about a year ago. Made some NICE power. It was a high octane engine... 12.4:1 i think was what it ended up being. It pulled over 220whp on a dynojet so i always thought them to be a nice package for a drag car. If its a daily driver though, i wouldnt recommend it... i agree. Reliability = graemlins/jerkit.gif We always used to say, "If your not breaking parts, your not making enough power."

Shawn - Im sure if i saw you again id recognize you. I got away from OBCC because it occured to me that none of them really knew anything about cars. Other than John (blue 01 Z) i never took a real liking to anyone else. They were all about show... something i really dont care for. It really hasnt come all that far though... the only real difference is that now, it has a direction... a purpose if you will. Purpose built is the only way to go. It wont be much of a 1/4mile car... but ought to run with pack at IRP or in the 1000M maybe. It has a long way to go. I still have to put the 14pt cage in it, FG everything for the body, and all the suspension yet. Thousands of dollars just burning a hole in my pocket

If you can take the LS1 to 427... theres no reason why you cant take a 366 to a 428. The C5 and Z06 did not have the same engines. The LS6 and LS1 were different. The C6 has an LS2 engine... also different. Im assuming the 427 in the new Z06 will probably also be its own engine. If it were up to me though... id sell them off with 572 crate engines

Yea todds a good guy. Kinda lazy, smartass... but hes a good guy. I can always count on a gay joke or two from him.
-
Well since noone else said a hybrid.... A hyrbid. Im an all motor fan so naturaly im a fan of the LS/Vtec. There are many variations of the hybrids but the best IMO is the B20/Vtec, B20/B16A. Its a nice combination, and makes pretty decent torque. Thats what you need to look for. Torque output. Itll give you traction problems, but at least you wont be playing catchup to the neighborhood 99-00 Si bully smile.gif

Todd Knadler? Of course i know him, HE WORKS FOR ME! smile.gif Ah the Cavalier is down for the year. I blew the engine up on the way home from that event in the video. Thats why im building a few new ones. It does need to be dropped. It has all factory suspension as of now. Dont wory though, it has a date with many hours of wrenching this winter.

hi everyone, im new to this forum and thought id introduce myself. My name is Nick, im 22 and have been in the Columbus area for about 4 years now. Ive been known to bomb around the east side on summer weekend nights as well as make apperences at NTR now and then. I actively participate in SCCA auto-x, Street Modified mostly. Ive been building engines for about 12yrs now, and racing for 7. I enjoy drag racing and auto cross, but my true passion is open track/raod course racing. Im actively building a track car from a 1996 Cavalier Z24, and hopefuly can use it to advance myself into a carrer of professional racing. Im a total J-Body junkie. I know the 2.4L TC engine like the back of my hand. I know ever size of every nut and bolt on the whole thing. Ive been know to change timing chains or do cam swaps in less than 4hrs... including lunch Currently, im building a bomb proof racing engine for the track car. Nothing too big, only about 250-275bhp N/A. I have a couple plans for some rediculously high output engines but performance = $$$ and i dont have that much money smile.gif I work as a manager at a Pizza Hut delivery unit on W Broad St. So if anyone ever wants to stop in and BS, thats where i spend about 50-60hrs a week. Anyway, thats a lil bit about me so if i ever run into anyone at least i wont be a total stranger. http://www.mrmeanrracing.com/pics/ax3.jpg http://www.mrmeanrracing.com/pics/ax2.jpg In car video of OVR/WOR Challenge this year. www.mrmeanrracing.com/vids/incar.mpg
