beyond rough, theyre out at this point. But for a first season not bad. Problem is we're completly dependant on how mason is doing. He does bad we lose, he does good we win. Guys like Upshall will hopefully change that.

Possibly my first diesel. Advice please?
Sturg1647545502 replied to Draco-REX's topic in Tech and Tips
These little guys roll out on brush and grass fires. They rarely get used, as you can tell with only 15kmi. Comparativly less storage space then the medic or rescue but you cant beat that millage. Id call the contact and see if you could set up a time to stop by and look it over. Youve got 2 weeks till the bidding ends Although i will tell you that some smaller departments like that might have some questionable maintenance people, so id scrutinize the records. -
8th round of the shoot out against the western div leader? We could have really used the 2points but what a game! I didnt know much about this Upshall character but he was a real grinder tonight

Sturg1647545502 replied to Draco-REX's topic in Tech and Tips
I dont want to lead you in the wrong direction as there are alot of variables. 20-25 sounds about right. that's alot of miles for a medic though. Most places who can afford it put their medics out of service around 100k. In my experience there arn't many front line medics that have over 150-175k. and of course that is nothing but a guess -

keep in mind the medic stays on alot. on the scene, if its parked out side in the winter it will stay on to keep the inside heated. -

Our (2007ish) medics get around 15mpg running around on calls or going where ever so towing wouldn't be much better... but then again our turbo diesels are much bigger and heavier than the E350s. If youve got a hard on for medics as a tow vehicle, try http://www.govdeals.com/. That is where we sell all our old apparatus and most fire/police vehicles have been propperly maintained even though they have high miles. fyi its not illegal to have the light and sirens installed on the vehicle, but it is of course illegal to use them. And not me saying that, its straight from a friend/lawyer who bought one off govdeals and converted it into a OSU tailgate vehicle. -
shalome and welcome to the site, nice subie.

Man uses GPS on Droid to refute speeding ticket
Sturg1647545502 replied to frenchy chan's topic in Passing Lane
Cops have to go through various recerts every year, some of them pertaiming to speeders(radar, laser operation, judging the speed of a moving object whith out any equioment, etc). If they arnt up do date on their training, which is public record, the ticket is often thrown out. It sounds like thats what put the cali guys case over the edge. The gps was just a party piece -

Filing a complaint against an officer, couple questions.
Sturg1647545502 replied to Total Sign's topic in Dumpster
I'm with you, but ill say this...Excluding a few high school/college parties a cop has never showed up at my door or the door of any of my friends houses. As you have yet to divulge what fully happened we don't your side of the story, but i do know that cops deal with assholes who give them shit all day erry day and they dont show up at their houses. If he was out of line, stick it to him. He's a representative of law enforcement and discipline when he puts on that uniform; if he stepped out of line he needs put back and then some. -

i learned a while ago that bums thieves and whom ever will cut a $600 jeep soft top to take a $40 pair of leather gloves. bottom line if someone wants it bad enough they'll get at it. Everyone makes mistakes leaving shit in their car that they shouldn't, it just sucks your mistake turned detrimental.

i love the new diesels but im weary about jumping into a non sport coupe german car....vw's tdi or some of the audi's just dont seem to have the reliability other gas cars do. I mean i know the engines are bullet proof but ive heard vws eat wheel bearing relentlessly. That said, that cruze looks special ed but the hatch is palatable for a DD but that gas millage is unbeatable

looks like they put a nice stop on it. give washington twp fd a gift basket of BJs

no such thing as a public free rifle/pistol range to my knowledge. State park is about as close as you can get a few bucks for a day pass or like a whopping $20 a year long pass. although shotgun ranges are free. the one in the dayton area http://www.ohiodnr.com/Home/wild_resourcessubhomepage/WildlifeAreaMaps/SouthwestOhioWildlifeAreaMaps/SpringValleyWildlifeArea/tabid/20055/Default.aspx http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&q=spring+valley+wild+life&aq=&sll=39.572302,-84.013524&sspn=0.009659,0.01929&ie=UTF8&t=k&rq=1&ev=zi&split=1&filter=0&radius=0.62&hq=spring+valley+wild+life&hnear=&ll=39.572302,-84.013524&spn=0.009659,0.01929&z=16 which is apperantly closed during jan and feb

Blackhawk!- http://www.blackhawk.com/product/Night-Ops-Xiphos-NT-Weapon-Mounted-Light,503,40.htm Got back from aim hi..... last night while getting stuff ready for today i forgot the adjustable back straps. Of course i didnt realize this until we paid for and got in the range...so me and a few friends put 150 through for the hell of it. Its much soooo smoother than the 3rd gen. Got home and just put the large back strap on and wow what a difference. With out it no one was grouping tight(3/4th of us wear large to xl gloves) and we were gripping the trigger from the middle part of out pointer finger as opposed to "just the tip". It felt pretty jumpy and more like a water pistol than a full sized glock, but again the L back strap is where its at for me! I still cant get over how my buddies S&W40 trigger wraps around my finger...it feel amazing. That might be my first change or maybe the 3.5lb connector....either way i've got some things to look at!

yea, ps90.....I guess you had to hear and see these guys to get why i thought they were a little eccentric. Either way thanks, i'm really looking forward to getting out tmr.
