CTC is Columbus Traffic Code so this is what it is.
-
Yeh. Well, there was a younger guy with the officer, probably learning stuff. Anyway, I couldn't find anything about CTC 213.07. I'm not sure what ORC is though. Street racing doesn't seem to have anything to do with donoring parts unless I'm dead and don't know it.
-
I run it, but you know that Pat. I'm no dyno tuner though.
-
We had looked it up, but it has nothing to do with the citation given... at least not from what we can see. http://codes.ohio.gov/orc/2133.07
-
On his citation it says: Other Offense: Street Racing CTC 2133.07(B) What is 2133.07(B)?
-
Let's assume that on the citation it says "street racing." Should he be thinking about getting a lawyer as it wasn't as bad as the courts are going to make it seem.
-
Just out of curiosity, let's assume your friend got a citation for street racing. The only thing he did was take off normal at a light, shift into 2nd, give it enough gas to spin the tires while not exceeding the speed limit to pull on a car 2 lanes away from him, and then stop at the red light up ahead. What could he expect to receive as far as fines, points, and insurance cost raise, assuming this is his first offense ever?

I'll be there around 8:30 - 9:00 to cruise up to QS&L. Amy, you said you had an extra sticker last time we talked. Would you mind bringing that with you for me please?

If I drive my Cavalier to work, 48mph is as fast as I can get it before I merge into traffic.

The one thing I really enjoyed from DeVry is the programming. I hated Java development until I took a Java class. I passed with a 61% because I had no clue what I'm doing. Now I love the language. I've been applying for positions left and right and hopefully I'll get one soon enough. For EET/CET students, the Senior Project can be interesting. Since we are engineers, you can do your project on whatever you want. My roomate was in CIS and her group had to do projects for other companies. That would have sucked. We get to make fun stuff. I started building a extra injector controller with a programmable interface, but I started my project in an online class and worked alone. Once I started taking the Senior Project class, I was told I had to work in a group. We're now designing a touchscreen system in a car with a Java application that will pull music library information from a remote SQL database and allow the users to create playlists within the touchscreen and stream the music using a wireless connection or using a cell phone Internet connection.

It is general admission, but there are also rows and seats on the ticket. The tickets are for row 9, seat 1019 - 1021. Looking at the map it's pretty close to the stage, but I've never been to the LC before. I guess I'll find out when I get there.

I'm just glad this is my last semester.

Nice hanging out with you all. There looked like to be a nice wreck on 71S so I hope everyone here is alright. A small dip of that atomic sauce kicked my ass too.
-
Actually that has to be fake. The gas should have been invisible if it was real due to heat of the gas. That gas was black and means it was pretty cold. We did a study like this in my physics class, except we didn't use human farts, but methane.

Amy, is this at the GC Park and Ride again? If so, I'll be there.

I had bought 8 tickets for the Incubus concert on July 31st at the LC, but some of my friends backed out. The concert isn't sold out so these things aren't selling too well. I paid $47/ticket, but I'd like to get no less than $35/ticket if anyone is interested. I've got 4 tickets and they are good. Nothing fake. I don't want to be about nearly $200.

Have you tried adjusting the brightness and contrast on the monitor controls?

He doez wat he wantz.

This is how it should be done.

I'm going to go get a new alternator and see if that fixes it. The one that's in there tested good, but it was used with an unknown amount of miles on it.
-
Wasn't that one of the guys on here on a bike? It might not be, but I remember we got a call off at work for that guy and he said he wouldn't make it in because of his speeding ticket. I remember the speed being pretty high.

That's a datalog from my standalone ECU software (MegaSquirt). I happened to be logging and doing a WOT pull when I noticed 2 different time when accelerating my car missed. I though I might have went lean in a few spots and detonated, but it was just noise in the RPM signal cause it to jump real high and inject a lot of fuel for a split second.
-
The only thing really causing a load on the electrical system would be my amp, but it's a small amp to power my front speaker. It's like 50 rms x 2. I don't see how it would be a ground issue because in that datalog where the RPM spike occured, that system is grounded right to the negative battery terminal. I don't have any blown fuses. I can understand that applying the brakes will cause the lights to dim so I'm putting a load on the battery/alternator, but the popping sound coming from the speakers really has me going. I would say it's in my audio wiring, but I haven't touched that wiring in a very long time and it's routed very neatly and secure. When the speakers pop, the lights dim as well so... I don't know. It started happening as of about 3 days ago out of no where.
-
This just started happening the other day. I can see the lights dim a good bit and the speakers will pop. It'll do it at idle (when I notice it the most), decel, and accel as well. I've already replaced the alternator recently with one that tested dead and the one that is in there now was used and tested good. I took a short video and posted a datalog to show what it's doing whenever the speakers pop and such. You can see it's creating noise in my RPM, but I don't see a big change in voltage in the log though. It seems odd that at 6000+ rpms I'm only at 12.6V. Here's a short video. It's a lot worse in person because the video doesn't pick up the lighting too well, but it makes the speakers pop and all. You can hear them pop when I push on the brake pedal. I'm pushing it just enough to make the lights come on. In MegaTune the voltage is going down to low 11's whenever it happens. I know these video things suck, but it's a PITA to diagnose stuff online. http://www.tsnhosting.net/tristanlee85/voltage.wmv In the datalog is my transition from 2nd to 3rd and you can see where it spiked all the way to 9000 rpms a few times, but really I was only at 6400 or so. http://forums.plastikracing.net/files/rpm_spikes_137.png I've cleaned the grounds when I installed the new alternator (about a month ago). I used the wire wheel on my drill to clean the posts on the alternator and starter as well as cleaned the end terminals of the wires that bolt to the alternator and starter. I'm not sure what else to try.
