This is where i got most of my kitchen appliances. Unfortunately i'm starting to feel the same way as you on buying lower end instead of the higher stuff. My fridge was just over 3 years and compressor died. My new Samsung one after 2 weeks, ice maker gone. So waiting for replacement on it, luckily it's still under warranty. I have my older fridge that cost 1/4 as much still running in the basement over 12yrs old (7years as main). So i think you have the right idea on getting something more economical. I'm trying to convince my wife of doing the same. I'm looking at a new washer now myself. Small leak underneath where it looks like it's rusting. Check with TooSweet (Steve). He works at Lowes (does commercial) but keeps an eye out for clearanced appliances. He has posted some really good deals that he's found at the store on here before. Good luck! -D

Here's another option. Sony's Z ultra. This one is larger, a little older as it came out a couple years ago. This one is built with better material, waterproof, etc... Only downside is no camera flash. May not matter to some, but i use my camera flash as a flashlight all the time. Hello, Having bad luck on appliances this past month or so. Now in search of washing machine. We currently have front load GE. Looks like some leaking underneath, looks a little rusty down there. In any case, there was someone that worked at Lowes on here, i forget who that use to post clearance items. May do both washer and dryer if matching set for good price. Dont' know what your budget is, but look for a Sony T2 Ultra Unlocked. I've seen those go for about $200 - $250 new. Seems like good bang for the buck for what you get from a 6" phablet. I can't find the store that had them at $200 just a couple weeks ago. If i come across it again, i will post up here. EDIT: Looks like BestBuy has it for $249 right now. This was BF sale item at $199. This is what i had done. But yes, xray did Epidural Injection in spine where the herniated disc was, cortisone shot to the spine. I don't know what else they use, but that's what was used for me. I know this may be temporary, but the intense pain is gone. I still get them once in a while, but not all the time like i use to.

Mine is upper back. C5/C6. First few months, shooting pain down my right arm. My thumb is constantly numb. I did the cortisone shots, 3 treatments and that shooting pain has been gone for 1.5 years. I still get some pain everyday, but very tolerable. The first doctor told me i need to do fusion surgery. I got a 2nd opinion and he gave me 3 choices to try. Surgery was one, shots was 2nd (although he warned me that this usually is temporary), and physical therapy or some sort of exercise. I tend to crack my neck alot more since all this has happened. I don't think this hurts/helps me any but what a bad habit to start. I never did this before it all started. Anyhow, the shots seems to have helped me with the shooting pain. I'm trying my best to avoid surgery. I know my is upper back/neck, but shots may help relieve pain till you can start up some routine of exercise/therapy to help maintain that pain free feeling. Hope everything works out, this getting old stuff is getting old quick! -D

Congrats. Had our first when i was 33 and 2nd at 35. I seen benefits of having kids younger as well as older. Younger, you can at least run around with them as they grow up and not be out of breath after 2mins. For me, having them older meant i can give them what i didn't have. More established and i'm hell of alot more responsible. Mine are 2.5 and 4.5 right now (both boys), so enjoy it as they do grow up fast! -D

Anyone wants to pick this up for parts? It's only a little over 3 years old. Super clean. I think it's compressor. Feel like such a waste if they just haul it away. Do you do installs as well? Fridge is a Whirlpool model ED5FHAXVY03 If it fits, i may consider it, but will need someone to install. Not sure what else is needed, probably freon and new dryer? -D
