I had a $300 gift card to Crutchfield, I ended up buying the Canon HF R100. I figured internal memory was a waste (R10 has internal i guess). I am really glad with my purchase so far. Seems to be a great camera.

So, I decided to just install them as-is... they are in such good condition... if I decide to do something different when they become full time track wheels, I will do that then. As far as the moment of inertia, i used a solid disk for my inertia calc, which is way off, which is why I PMd AJ earlier about where he got his number. I also disagree with several of the key assumptions made in the link posted above... I am actually working my own (with another engineer) method to see if there is a quasi-accurate way to estimate savings.

Yes, that is correct. However, you are looking at it from a different perspective. Right now, I am losing 3lbs per wheel in the front and 5lbs per wheel in the back. That is -53lbs of rotating inertia in each front wheel, and 88lbs in each rear wheel, or a total of 280 lbs of overall reduction. So I am only missing out on about 12%.... I still am making a huge improvement. And I am tired of hunting for speedlines, and I dont want to deal with shipping and not being able to do business in person if I can.. .which is why I went with the good local deal. Most importantly, the gain in planted power, due to reducing the loss thru wasting energy in trying to spin the heavier wheels....

So the mexi-chrome is finally going bye-bye. Came up to C-bus and picked up a set of Alcoa (01) ZO6 wheels (yes, I know the speedlines (02-04) are lighter, but only by half a pound or so, and I found these cheap and local). So, when I was looking for wheels, I was thinking i would end up with a poor condition set, and want to re-spray them. I saw a set of Bronze zo6 wheels, and thought they looked good, and that was my plan. However after picking these up, they are in brand spanking new condition, so I am up in the air. So, ricer poll time.... keep them graphite, or paint them bronze... what's your opinion? Literally.... When did they add in that land fill on I-71... What a nice way to be welcomed to Columbus... I had my windows down, it smelled HORRIBLE. Not to mention the breeze was blowing the dirt into the air and across the highway, so you got to drive thru dirt and smell stink for several miles... Who was the retard that thought right next to the highway was the best place for that shit????

lol, I know Danny. Actually, I like to say my car is partially a National Champion, because my front bumper came off his road race z06, before he switched to the new one. He has no c5z wheels for sale, and his contacts only have a set of fronts, no rears. All he had was a set of 18x11 CCW classics, which someone else beat me to the punch on buying.

^^ I will call first thing monday morning AJ, I have been checking CF every day, for almost a month. Either way over priced, or wont take the tires off. I also prefer local pick up.

^^ Yea, i would prefer the 02-04's... but I am not going to sweat a half a pound... it is still much better than the additional 5lbs from a repro... (especially my heavy ass chrome repros)

Looking for a set of c5z wheels. OEM, not the heavy repro stuff. Cash in hand. Otherwise, if you have a lightweight set of c5z offset/pcd wheels, with at least a 10.5 rear width, I also have interest.

oh no... I have a zo6... it looks like it is going 100mph sitting still! and can look like it went insane speeds into a ditch and kick sod on a roof, while only doing 25mph in a neighborhood! (hehehe, couldnt resist!)
