  1. Following he thanksgiving holiday we will be shutting down the cake shop for a few months while my wife undergoes some health related issues. We appreciate everyone who has shown support for the shop in the year and a half it has been open. As of now we hope to reopen it the later part of January if everything goes well. There is a chance we may have a substitute cake decorator working which will allow us to do some cakes but nothing has been finalized as of yet. We wanted to thank everyone and inform anyone who was thinking about having a cake made by us.
  2. In almost 20 years of being together my wife and I have never had a family portrait done. On December 2nd my wife will be having major surgery which subsequently could cause her to lose her hair or worse. She is wanting us to finally get a picture done prior to this. We would also like a few of our children separately and since our son is a senior maybe something along those lines. Again time is a factor. I know there are photographers on here so who can try to make this happen? Nothing over the top, nothing to crazy just some nice pictures. Thanks
  3. Cr has done a toy drive every year I have been on here and this year is no exception. Details are in the meetings and events section.
  4. I am a sucker for kids, count me in if I can help you out.
  5. I guess it takes me back to my childhood. My dad can tell you anything about Motown and I grew up listening to nothing but this style of music, doo wop, classic.
  6. They do a bunch of cover songs. I agree with Joe its like a train wreck you cant stop watching.
  7. Postmodern Jukebox. Bunch of youtube videos. I like them. My dad is fascinated by them. Still trying to figure this embedding out.
  8. He made me a cash offer I couldn't resist. I appreciate the help guys I was just running out of room and needed to get rid of one of the cars fast. If I could have handled the house transaction as fast as I could have done a vehicle transaction I would have done it. Sounds like this would have taken the better part of a month to finalize.
  9. Amanda at this time my wife is having serious health issues. Ideally she will be having major surgery in the beginning of December at which time her oncologist will figure out if they were able to fix the issues or if theres a chance we have to start doing the full out cancer treatments. We find out on Tuesday when surgery will be and most likely she will be out of commission for the later half of December and January.
  10. No markings under the drawers or shelves either? Early furniture they were even marking in pencil.
  11. Truly old pieces are inconsistent in build. Look at the joints especially on the drawer. Are the dovetails or however its put together very uniform like a more modern day machine might make or inconsistent leaning more towards hand made. How about any carvings? Are they very smooth and uniform or do they look hand done. The best way to identify something is to first date it.
  12. Doesn't necessarily look old but they have been very good at making old pieces look new and new pieces look old. Is there any stampings or markings underneath the hutch or on the back?
  13. Actually, physically or mentally?

  15. Only been in one real estate transaction almost 10 years ago. Any idea what type of fees or a time frame this might take to complete?
  16. Its on the up and up. I know the person, neither of us know how it would work.
  17. Someone asked me if I wanted to trade one of my antique cars for a house and piece of property, even trade. How would this work?
  18. All those pics and not one of sledheads new ride.
  19. So far no, he is currently looking. Graduating was always the priority.
  20. Mom and I have always agreed we would pay the bills until he graduates which will be this year. He turned 18 in august but because we held him back a year in kindergarten hes an adult but just as immature as his friends a year younger, always has been. Perhaps not my best choice to pay for everything and I am sure a lot of my own experiences played into those choices. Doesnt really sound like from an insurance standpoint theres much I can do other than wait until he gets his own policy.
  21. My son has been driving for 2 years now and has had no accidents or tickets. We switched insurance companies when we added him 2 years ago and the rate was very fair, surprisingly fair. Now my premiums have tripled and every other company seems to price us out in the same ball park. If I remove my son from my policy my premium drops to 1/3 of what it is now. We have had no accidents or tickets in many many years. Is there a way around this issue? Can I get him his own policy? He has his own car and since theres 3 cars in the household and 3 licensed drivers hes automatically added as a fulltime driver. Is there something I am not considering others have found to maneuver paying so much?
