Its been a struggle so far. Hopefully I will hear today from the architect that is suppose to have the plans done. Then I have to see if the city approves them, fingers crossed. I just want it to be done with, more stress than I want to deal with right now.

I would be a little concerned that weight distribution/something offset just a little might start to stress something on one of the legs overtime causing something to fail. I assume its strength comes from remaining perpendicular to the ground.

I bet you could set up a helluva dredge for $25k easy. Given not as big as his, but if that guy who had his go under water, spent more than $5 on his setup, I would be surprised. Thats Alaska prices where everything is 10x's what you can find itin the lower 48.

The gold rush guys are doing it wrong. The bearing sea guys seem to have a much better setup. $76k in one day of dredging, I may just get me one and head on over.

I dont make offers on someone else's property. I hit ads the second they post to craigslist often by searching the entire section vs each individual subsection. The entire section search shows ads about 5-10 mins before they appear in the subsections. Even these people never respond.

This has always been our way of life as well. We own 3 cars with a combined purchase price of $1500. I could have afforded a new car for both my wife and I but it never made sense. When we were first shopping for a house we were approved for an $850k new build. No way in hell I was going that route and literally walked right out the builders door when he suggested it. Looking back this lifestyle was the best decision I ever made especially since the last 3 years hasnt provided much in means of income. I always find it funny to see people envious of how someone else is able to live a comfortable life yet do just the opposite and feel the need to spend every last dime they make.

I hate talking on the phone as well. I dont text as I dont have a cell phone. Unfortunately most people dont put numbers in their craigslist ad and never return emails.

On average I send out around 20 emails a day between personal use and searching for stuff on craigslist. I am lucky to get 2 replys a week. I dont know if something is blocking them from either the receiver or on my end. I check my spam filter daily but nothing there either. I know I am behind the times since texting is now where its at but wtf?

I would be super pissed at that. Looking at it like that I would move in a heartbeat because it will take longer for your value to go up than fix your credit or have anyone remember you fucked over the bank:)
