I have to comment on the remarks about handicapped parking. I have never been concerned with those who park there, not since getting my own placard. Now it drives me up the wall to see someone with no physical ailment get out and walk as I struggle to make it out the door. I only use it when I feel I need it and no just because I have it I don't always feel I need it.

As stated I know teachers starting out at $60k and officers starting out at $70k, no not everyone does. My issue is that most kids are easily involved in schoolwork when approached by it in a manner they find interesting. They say you can't involve or teach to everyone which is true but it takes so little effort to include most and 99% of all teachers fail to make the attempt. I don't get being so much of a sheep that you follow exactly what your told to and don't create your own teaching style. If all your going to do is read from a book and do exactly as it states then don't waste years of education and the financial responsibly. I see so many teachers that go into it for a paycheck either intentionally or they manifest into it after being broke down in college that by the time they actually start to teach, they aren't anyone I want in front of my kid. Personality requirements should be required for anyone who has as much responsibility as teachers have. Even teachers that dont seek a raise get one in the board increases pay or a union contract is increased. If your the school board and you want to give yourself a raise, it's easily for the rest of the staff to swallow if you give them one as well. My buddy received a $7k raise after year one because it was scheduled to happen in their contract which happened years before he started.

My buddy started out 3 years ago making $50k+. The 2 teachers that live across from me just retired both making $90k each. I think the whole system needs revamped. You could easily put out a much better quality graduate with higher graduation rates if a new system was implemented.

In the same turn on the freeway you often see brakelights, most people would never assume the car would be completely stopped. Especially if you could tell or expect that there is no visible reason for it. You often see people slowing down and you continue to bear down on them expecting to change lanes as you approach or having enough slowing down distance to match whatever reasonable speed you expect them to be operating at. You see it all the time, someone stopped on the freeway for one reason or another, even in daylight under perfect conditions a car usually smacks into the back of them.

Normal for used car pricing to jack up around tax time?

No threadjack, but if I get it, I will let you know. -
Cutting wages would have to be an across the board statewide decision. I know teachers and support staff that either transfer districts or get the union to strike to fight for comparable wages as other districts. BUt then it comes down to how important is education and what should a teacher be paid. I have a huge issue with our education system seeing as so many students struggle or fail yet staff continue to get raises or paid for that matter. We should not base a childs intelligence on how much he/she can remember in between tests/exams. I know extremely intelligent kids that are treated like idiots simply because they have a poor memory. Its so sad to see a kid get treated like this, and before you know it he lets others opinion alter his frame of mind and becomes a shitty person in life. People need certain things especially at a young age, we are not doing them any favors with our current system.

There are plans in place to report these type of abuses but I will be damned if I have ever seen or heard of of anyone getting in trouble. I would rather pay for 10 inspectors to many to investigate fraud instead of allowing one person to cheat the system.

I pay for sirius just for the 5 mins total I drive a week. Just for sterns show.

Pretty much, take a look at who typically owns these cars at this point. Young people whos first car is like gold to them and they tend to ask gold prices when its for sale. I may have a cheap acura for sale within the week. I will be asking $10k but I may come down to around $1700. -
I can see having to pay for an extracurricular sport like rowing, but I hate to see any school district offer less than what was offered to my parents in their day for free. It wasnt that long ago I believe westerville built a school and had the entire tile work imported from italy.

Is it normal for prices to raise as the nation is suddenly influxed with disposable cash? No, every beatdick rusted out civic is worth $10k. -
I am holding steadfast that blazer and mo had to be a spoof and was never intended on being a real show. And now you know,,,,,,,,,, the rest of the story.

A small part of me can see doing a dig on the freeway, what I cant see is not having some sort of plan for an approaching vehicle. Combined with as many appeared in the video this was all around stupid. 2 cars lining up for a split second when no traffic appears to be coming for miles is stupid, but I dont necessarily think I would fault them completely. I still think it shouldnt be done for the reason in the video. Another case of stupid people ruining it for everyone.

I hate to see it fail for the kids, but I like that my buddy who always says his city is better because of what they can offer, is now dealing with the same issues as the rest of us. Way to take westerville down a peg taxpayers.

My wifes family(not immediate) receives food stamps and ssi. There is absolutely no reason they should get it and the second her aunts kids turned 18 she took them down and signed them up as well. None of them have ever held a job. Can you imagine being 45 and never working?

Havent read the article yet but there should be exact specific guidelines for what can and cant be bought. The worst is the convenience store in bad neighborhoods. Their registers just go by sale prices and not itemized to include bar codes. Thats why you can buy a cellphone at them with your ohio card, theres no way to tell what your buying.

Having done this exact type of work for nearly 11 years and dealing with every city around here, I am very surprised the city would allow you to do anything to the curb and gutter that alters from it's design. It's not just for looks and is designed with a purpose. I don't doubt they would allow you to replace it, although it falls under most cities repair themselves, if it is damaged. If the allow you to just grind it down, then i can give you the name of a company that can grind it down or do a curb cut on it which is a horizontal surface cut with flared ends cut. That curb is most likely 12" at the curb and 8" at the gutter. You will need a company that can eliminate over cuts typically with a concrete chainsaw as the city probably won't allow you to over cut into the street. You can go full depth with your blade but the ends will have to be hammered out as a standard hs can go a maximum depth of 5" not including the blades curvature so your edges are only cut around 3" depth, unless you have a ringsaw which can approx. 9" on the ends and approx. 11" center depth.

That pic is great Buck.

Always impressed by your guy's ability to take great looking pics. Certainly a skill I wish I possessed.

Looks good, I just can't get into saabs. For me it's almost like if you have ever seen one, you have seen everyone. How did you lower it?

I could name place after place around here where races could be had with little to no worries of law enforcement interruption. Why do it in the middle of a freeway? I see no answer other than feeling that those who do it feel as though what they want to do trumps what everyone else has come to know as right. I hate to see anyone unjustly punished but I hope those involved have to deal with it to the point they realize never to do it again. I am surprised everyone didn't head for z hills. It's amazing how many people just hung out afterwards to wait for the popo.
