Quick question Kenny. How do you figure you can drive to Cali race all day and then drive back with the A/C on and getting good gas milage when you already broke your shit and did not go any farther then Marion. Sounds to me like the odds are against ya.

Keep the stang. I bought my first bike last summer and raced it and rode it all year. I sold it in like September. They are a lot of fun and you can go fast real cheap but they have some major downsides.

Kenny, if you have any helpful advice about these things it would be appreciated.

My theory is if your gonna do it then do it right the first time. You will see what I mean when I actually get the damn thing finished. I started the MR2 and found the Talon which I liked better for a great price. Some guy drove all the way from Chicago to buy the MR2 off of me.

Well hey if you can do that then more power to ya. It must be nice. Not having to worry about a tow vehicle or trailer is great.

It is all pretty much going back in but I am doing some modifications for gauges and some other stuff. The headliner had to be replace though.

I was kinda thinking eeeewwww Automatic at first too. I have done a little research and I am hoping it will work out ok for what I wanna do.

I think you guys missed what I was saying. I am talking about driving the car you race all the way up there, racing and then driving it home. We trailer our car and we have been racing at Norwalk since the early 90's when it was a shit hole so I do know that it is the best track around. I have no problem with trailering a car anywhere to go racing. I guess when you have a fast car then you really can't drive it that far. We have a 6 second car so I guess this whole driving your race car to the track is kind of new to me. Of course a lot of this stuff is new to me, (the whole import thing and all). Anyway even when we had our Easy Street car that ran 9.40's it got towed to the track. I guess if your car can do it then go for it. I will hopefully be able to do this with my Talon but i would still be a little scetchy about driving it all the way to Norwalk.

Congrats on getting your $ back. A lot of people are not that honest.

I myself have never been to Long Island but if they succeed then other tracks will follow and eventually it will make its way to ohio. Some tracks in Ohio have had to face huge legal battels to keep their tracks operational. Many tracks in Ohio are already operating under a curfew. I think it just sucks all together. Weather it is in Long Island or Ohio it is effecting our sport wich I feel everyone who loves racing should be concerned with this.

I can see maybe 20 or 30 miles but Norwalk is a trip. And in my opinion driving 2 hours away and racing all day and trying to drive back is like playing russian roulet.

I am looking for a good machine shop and Engine builder that knows their stuff when it comes to DSM's. I know of some really good ones that we use for the big motor stuff but they specialize in that kind of stuff. I am still new to the DSM world and 4 cylinder motors all together so I am open to suggestions.
