  1. Have you seen http://jobs.sema.org/ ???
  2. If you have industry desire and they are going to compensate you appropriately, then I'd say do it. As a contractor here in Denver I did database work for SEMA/PRI and their advertising department last year and everyone is connected. If its not a good gig you can find some place to go elsewhere in less than a year. When it comes to compensation go big. They know its expensive out there and adjustment. They know you are moving across country. It was cool being on-site with SEMA and in a few of their offices. But I would not work in the auto industry in Cali for the 'cool factor' ... which actually would be totally cool ... I'd do it as a professional making a professional wage in California. Otherwise the lack of cool-life stuff would add up pretty quick.

  4. I'm in for book value (KBB/NADA) ... clean TA/WS6 cars are retaining their value; maybe better than they should. Enjoyment factor -FAR- exceeds any monetary edge or small percentage I gave up here. Its something I wanted so I didn't negotiate too hard and I'm not over/under on it to start.
  5. So I moved out of state (Denver, Colorado) and left my old TA (1993) to my dad who wanted to finish rebuilding it. Out here I found someone selling a pretty clean 2002 WS6 for a reasonable price and pulled the trigger. Its a 2002 WS6, White, M6, T-Top, with 65K and the -only- modification is a SLP air lid. The worst thing wrong is the door panel cracks (standard) but no dash panel crack and overall its probably an 8.75/10. This was someone's weekend and fair weather car. The passenger seat leather, carpet, and rear all look brand new. I'll get a shifter and some 4.10s in it pretty quick and start going from there. No power adders after tearing up my 1993 car and just try to keep this one clean as possible. Denver is an emissions testing area so that will keep heads and cam options pretty mild. On the weekends I'll drive to the casino about 45 minutes into the rocky mountains so I look forward to that drive. Las Vegas is a 10 hour drive so this car will make for a fun trip though the rockies and desert. I picked it up at the current owners construction company; he parked it near this bullshit exhaust event on the building shooing out black coal. A quick wash fixed it reasonably well ....

  7. Interesting feedback ... the guy is back on Saturday and I'll go take a look at the car. If the guy is not insane on price I'll probably make something of a reasonable offer. I don't really care about the P1 ... I have a brand new YSI in a box next to my desk. When the motor pops I'll use that or see about swapping out to a F1-something.
  8. What would CR offer on car like this? Cliffs ... looks like old man wanted to hot-rod his corvette ... its now in his son's hands for sale. ------------ The vehicle has 11,600 miles on it with a few tasteful modifications. All work has been done by XXXXXXXXXXXXX . The car dynoed 598hp to the wheels on 5lbs boost, with 91 octane fuel. The car has been well cared for throughout the years. My dad is the original owner but passed away and would rather see it go to a good home instead of sitting in my garage. I am asking $27,000, OBO. If you have any questions give me a call/text at XXXXXXXXXXXX Modifications: P1SC pro charger kit, installed at 4,962 miles, running a mild 5lbs of boost. 42lb injectors. Full exhaust system, long tube headers all the way back to a Borla catback system. Stage 2 clutch and aluminum fly wheel. Line lock for burnout box. 10. Contact Ohio State Office of Technology or academic leaders of technology offices in the major colleges there. They would likely be looking for a good-value SAN At College of Business we had (~2002) Compellent San 003; before Dell and one of the first to leave their offices.

  15. Polaris is great, there are a lot of really good options. Being close to parkway exit and Gemini I-71 interchanges makes getting around town much easier. Plus shopping and lifestyle has a lot to offer there. Cons are the traffic. Everything is a two lane road and at peak you'll just be sitting there. I don't see it getting better but if you can get in and out early its fine. From Thanksgiving to Christmas you will pay the mall tax. Its jsut packed and overloaded with people at all hours. You'll really notice it on the streets. I'm living in Denver now but when there never gave a thought to moving elsewhere.
  16. Not crazy ... but most lawyers I know end up become full time poker players ... gl
  17. NK9 is a great investment; we did a few dogs though there. Ultimately, they can fix immediate issues but long term you have to take their training and keep it going. This means you have to adopt their style, which is proven, and learn-do it yourself ... which is pretty easy but requires consistency from -everyone- GL
