  1. This guys balls must have made the tides change when he got to close to the ocean.
  2. Looks like something EJ Potter aka The Michigan Madman would ride.
  3. Doesnt FTW stand for F@!$ the World as well as For The Win?
  4. Well they are pics of objects that are billions and billions of years old so what's a decade between friends.
  5. My point being that a hammer is designed to exert a large amount of force on a specific point whether it be to pound in a nail, knock something loose, crush something, or kill someone. A gun is designed to send a particular sized projectile to a target with relative accuracy and dependability whether its target shooting, hunting, or killing someone. Both of these tools are used far more often in the act of NOT killing someone than they are used in the act OF killing something so why is a gun a killing machine and a hammer is a useful tool.
  6. When you say that guns are designed for one thing and that is killing what is that based on? I would argue that far more rounds have been fired that didn't hurt a soul than have.
  7. Kinda saw this coming when I saw the restraint in the executive orders and proposed new gun legislation, now they will have a new soap box to stand on and if this one doesn't work well see a bigger even more shocking event I'm sure.
  8. Looks like you can only get the $2000 for one gun in a years time.
  9. How the hell do you get in to a gun show with a loaded firearm, everyone I've been to runs a zip tie through the receiver so you can tell its not loaded. And second maybe we need big signs posted that say " DON'T TOUCH THE DAMN TRIGGER UNLESS YOUR WILLING TO SHOOT WHAT'S ON THE OTHER END OF YOUR BARREL FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS RULE WILL RESULT IN A SERIOUS ASS BEATING" seriously the one guy was supposedly trying to take his shotgun out of the case when it went off. This leads me to speculate that this incident will become more common as people who have had grandpa's old shotgun in the closet for years and now with the gun craze going on they think they can get a bunch of money for it make their way to gun shows in hopes of their quick buck.
  10. But he designed it while working for ArmaLite correct?
  11. AR = Armalite the folks that designed the thing, it was a branch of an aircraft manufacturer, North American Aviation if I remember right.
  12. I've got a tungsten ring and usually keep it on my key chain, a couple months ago I noticed a crack and large chunk missing out of it. Surprised me that the whole thing didn't shatter but that's been a couple of months now and it hasn't got any worse

    What if?

And my point is even though the last AWB didnt work and went away now they want to do it again with the idea that maybe this time the results will be different? They are wasting time debating things that they don't know about in order to make laws that have no affect other than punishing those of us that aren't breaking any laws. All in the guise of making people FEEL like they've done something productive. Here's an idea for them how about they get off of their duffs and actually DO something productive for once.
  14. That's funny because I can't tell you how many people have said that about my Hi Point carbine and yet after shooting it not one of then has walked away with anything but a huge grin on their face. Now I wouldn't use it for home defence or anything but for just shooting paper or plinking in general its loads of fun to shoot.
  15. Only in America could someone get in trouble for using their own money to plow a street that the city won't plow. Lol
  16. Actually this car makes me think of an old Bill Cosby routine called 200mph. Here's a youtube clip of it: No video just audio but it's damn funny and when he gets to the part about starting up his new Shelby cobra his description pretty much sums up this car.
  17. Thats one of those cars that causes all the mothers in the neighborhood to bring their kids in off of the streets when you fire it up.
  18. I've heard of the time honored tradition of putting a big engine in a little car but damn. Would love to take this thing for a spin, and I mean that literally because I doubt you could get it to go in a straight line.
  19. I don't know where you came up with those numbers but $30k would buy enough fuel to get about 1500 miles in a 747 and that's just fuel.
  20. FTFY As near as I can figure Air Force 1 used about $220,000 in fuel to get to Hawaii and back. Now the two to three C-17's that carry all his limos and support vehicles and the cost of paying all the secret service and security details I can't even begin to put a figure on.
  21. Yeah peanut butter has caused more deaths than this, not to mention alcohol and cigarettes and we have no problem selling that stuff. Shit happens you can't just take everything off of the shelves that may kill someone because of an allergy or an unknown heart condition.
  22. Nope I'm just a dumb-ass and was thinking off of the top of my head that the first turn was the keyhole without actually looking at the course layout. Of course the fact that I haven't been to mid Ohio in over 20 years and even when I did go we sat on the back observation mound after the last pedestrian bridge which I think was the Budweiser bridge at the time doesn't help a thing. But regardless this should be a good time.
  23. 1st corner is going to be a cluster fuck with that right turn and all.
  24. True but the pilot could have maintained a little more altitude and avoided this situation totally. I'm just saying if I was flying into this airport I would have used a little steeper approach than that and if the runway is too short I might have thrown a little slip in at the end for fun.
