to answer your question, yes i would love mustangs even if they were made by honda, but honda doesn't make supercharged v-8's.

i would call it even on that department, the GTO is easier to work on than the f-bodys but the mustangs still are very wrench friendly.

Question for the LS fans out there, from what i see the 6.0L GTO are kinda slow because they are so damn heavy, i like the engine bay and how they appear to be more friendly to work on but for me the wieght is a big issue. Is it possable to get a gto down to a more managble transmarobird wieght without sacrificing alot? (aka strieght axle swap?) Coming from the ford camp, wieght is just as important in going fast in a strieght line as HP, also makes it easier on driveline parts. in Final, is buying an f-body and sacrificing the .3L/and ease of of wrenchablility worth it for the wieght advantage over the GTO?

The last thing the modular motor needs is more stroke. the dimensions are roughly 3.55" x 3.55" compared to the 5.0 4" x 3" I understand the longer stroke is so make more torque out of the smaller diplacement, but building HP in a smaller displacement engine means turning higher RPM, more RPM = more piston speed and less longevity. the 5.0 is actually dimensionally better equipt for higher rpm as far as bore/stroke ratio vs. the modular, it just doesn't have 4 valves to do it. The modular as we have it currently can't be bored much over .020 before needing re sleeved, if they would have used a OHC design and left the bore and stroke identical to the 5.0 we would be looking at a nasty N/A motor even with the 2 valve OHC heads. All this is also ignoring another aspect of the evil smaller bore V8. valve shrouding

I totally agree, this was my favorite story by S.K. It followed the book very well . . . i even liked the ending. The book ended just before they ran out of fuel commenting on how his dad always hated stories with open endings. The one thing i hated was that if you put 35-40 people in a building in a small town, you may have that one Zealot, but there would be many more fair minded christians to put that one in thier place. But it's a movie, and knowing kings left leanings, i understand where his assumptions come from. He's still my favorite (living) author.

Ya i was going to say, if you want to go to the track 400-450hp will make for a pretty trap speed but without a good suspension and driveline will be wasted money. with that much power you need at least drag radials, then a clutch or an axle is going to go after a while, even with stock power. Once the rearend is solid and you have a good clutch , time to eliminate that wheel hop, control arms & shocks, you s hould really reinforce the tourque boxes at this point. Weld in a set of subframe connectors. You have about you have spent about 2500 if you do most of the work yourself but at this point you have a good foundation for around 400HP, the good news is you should be in low 13's with all this without touching the motor. by the way, speed costs money, how fast do you want to go?

Proof please, there are plenty of credible Scientists both for and against Global warming that say that our climate ahas changed 1-2 degrees over the past 100 years, not 5. IMO: Global warming does exist - humans have nothing to do with it. Acid rain does exist - humans fucked up.
